Rabbits are such sweet sweet little creatures yet so very very misunderstood. I think that some of the root of the problem lies In the fact that rabbits transcend the bridge between pet vs food more so than any other animal we consider house pets. And when I say house pets I mean more so like a cat or a dog… I could go on and on about how misunderstood rabbits are but I know you know and I am so thankful for you helping others understand.
I'm lucky that my vets, who also deal with dogs and cats, are also incredibly rabbit savvy. They're vets4pets for anyone who lives in the uk like I do. Bunny lady/Amy, I legit watch your videos with my bunny and she just casually sits on my back 😂
I am looking to neuter my two male rabbits. It doesn't look like a very complicated procedure. I think I could do it myself. I will keep researching the topic. Any advice on how to do this yourself? Thank you
Thank you! My bunny, snowball, is getting spayed tmrw and I’m terrified because we lost another rabbit to a spaying a few months ago. But we had misinformation and had not fed her that night because the vet tech told us not to. And ofc I was furious when I found out about that but it’s done now. And I’m sure that’s the main factor that caused things not to work out But we also found a different vet that specializes in exotics (no cats or dogs) and we are just rlly hoping it works out this time.
@@Phuong0886 yes! thank you so much for asking! she is doing great and was eating and drinking on her own in just one day! yesterday was the ten day mark and she got to come out of her cage and play and she was so happy running around and doing binkys! Im so glad she is ok and I would 100% say it was worth it
Mine just got neutered yesterday. They told me to not let him eat or drink after 9pm and to drop him off early in the morning I followed all the instructions. After a few hours they called that the surgery was done and everything went smoothly I was so glad he was ready to be picked up. Once I picked him up I asked if he needed pain meds they said no and that he'll heal quickly on his own. But I've noticed he's not really eating alot like before he eats only alittle, he's been drinking water thoe. and his poops are really tiny. I hope he gets better soon. They said he'll be back to normal in a few days.
Hey! I have one female, Netherland dwarf rabbit. I was thinking about getting another male one.Only if I have them both spayed and neutered but I was wondering, I got my female from a professional breeder. could I get my male from somewhere else? Or do they have to be from the same place?
I’m getting my female spayed I’m two weeks I got my male neutered two months ago so im not too worried but I know spays are worse than neuters but I trust my vet so hopefully it I’ll be fine
Dreading taking apollo for his op next week as know that its not a simple op for him. But know its for the best. Have paid extra for some extras after op like flushing his system and liquid rabbit food. P.s do you have a UK discount code for small pet select? Xx
I just found out about this channel yesterday so I'm sorry to this being late but if you didn't get your rabbit operated on yet then go to a different vet. Rabbits NEED to consistently be eating and have something in their systems so they don't die, no fasting.
Hi! Please respond if Possible: My rabbit is a female, i've had her for about 4 years now. I don't know if she was spayed or not when we adopted her, but it seems like it.. Im not sure though because she does seem to do.. ODD (you know what i mean) behavior when playing with her toys? I think it's common though. Do you know HOW to tell?
oh hi thank you for letting me know but earlier i heard from the place where we got her and looked at the papers, she was spayed! Thanks for the feedback tho
If you don’t have money for a beneficial procedure how can you afford to take care of your rabbit when he gets sick? 😔 The males can get reproductive cancers too. It also helps them to live a healthier, longer, and more enjoyable life.
And I’m assuming you got your rabbit from a breeder? I would like to suggest adopting a rabbit from a rescue if you plan on ever getting another rabbit. They will already be spayed or neutered when you adopt.
They have a chance of developing cancer if not neutered/spayed. And if they do cancer treatment is much more expensive than the cost of neutering (ask me how I know)
@@MrTmenzo yea but the rabbits were given to us by a breeder and she had other rabbits that she was taking to the shelter and my rabbit was just a baby
