I had an uneutered rabbit, Toby, (I made a couple shorts with him in it) he was so bossy and never let me pet him. I got him from a breeder because he was getting too old. Despite the frustration he had with hormones and all that he was definitely happier. His cage smelled TERRIBLE no matter how often I cleaned it. He wasn't the greatest at using the litter box either. I still love him. It's been a year since he passed. I adopted a new rabbit, Millie, just a few days ago. HIGHLY RECOMMEND adopting cause of vaccine and spay/nuetering costs. She's so sweet and really likes to be petted. I didn't take many pictures/videos of Toby and I regretted it so now I'm taking a lot of her. She's four weeks. Can't even smell her litterbox unless your face is pretty close to it. Also, I request a video of mistakes new rabbit owners make. Edit: I just realized you already have one. Thank you!!

Thanks so much for your sweet comment ❤️ 4 weeks is awfully young for her to be without her mother! Does she drink milk?

@@BunniesAtHome Honestly, I might of heard her wrong, she's spayed and I don't think they can get spayed that early.

@@milliethebunnyrabbit oh I bet she’s 4 months then! I think that’s the earliest most vets will do it :) I hope you enjoy your new little baby!

I live in alberta Canada and in the city I live in vet prices are insane. My pre op appointment costed $258 (included blood work) and his neuter that is booked for this afternoon is estimated at $754. It’s insane but I have no choice because the cheaper options don’t know how to do the surgery properly or don’t have the tools to do it safely.

There is a program in my area so the cost to neuter is 57.00 USD. The optional pre-op bloodwork and X-ray is 189.45 USD.

My female rabbit is five, and she was just spayed because the previous owner never took her to a vet. I've changed her living condition and health since I took her. She dud gave a mass on her reproductive organs and they did remove the mass as well as her reproductive organs during the spay they're sending out the mass for testing but now that I've gotten her spay what are the chances of that mass if it was cancerous and is a cancerous mass what are the chances of that mass coming back now that she has been spayed

my male rabbit Lumo is unneutered. He is 8 month old, he is very cuddly, has no aggressive tendencies, doesn't pee outside his litter box. he follows me everywhere and licks me all the time. do you still recommend spaying him? Im so afraid he won't be able to make it through surgery or post/op, very scared bun momma here. He has chronic gas problems and Im so afraid of postop gi stasis

My vet in Oregon only cost $98 to have my bunny neutered. It's crazy how overpriced veterinary medicine can be.

@@Me_Caity That's so amazing!! I'm glad the surgery went well. My own bunny is getting spayed next week. Can I ask if you were worried if she would pull out her stitches? Did your vet give her a cone to wear?
@Me_Caity
@Me_Caity 8 месяцев назад
@@shirleywang1973 they did not give her a cone because her stitches are on the inside. I don’t think there fully dissolved yet I think he said they will dissolve in 2 weeks. She didn’t mess with her stomach at all and she was back to normal in 3 days but I kept her in a large crate for 5 days just to make sure.
@Me_Caity
@Me_Caity 8 месяцев назад
@@shirleywang1973 I would take away the food 1 hour prior to surgery to make sure there is no food in the esophagus but I didn’t withhold food. I did more research and took your advice 😅
