Socialization is very important for every breed, but especially important in Rottweilers. Failure to socialize at an early age and consistently throughout their lives can lead to major issues. This breed is prone to aggression and will bite people they do not know if they are raised improperly.
You should also get your Rottweiler well trained in the yard. Many Rotts tend to guard the fence line and become aggressive when new people or animals approach the fence. Make sure that they understand the yard is a place where they need to listen.
Also keep in mind that Rottweilers are notorious for resource guarding. You need to be working on handling food, bones, and their toys at a young age, and throughout their lives.
The last thing to work on with your Rottweiler is getting them used to having their nails cut. Rottweilers tend to have more issues with nail trims than other breeds, so it needs to be worked on at a young age.
