Getting a perfect recall command with your dog is not that hard as long as you have a good method. The biggest mistake people make teaching their dog how to come when called is not practicing it enough before it really matters. Don't just take your dog out to a field and hope for the best! Start by training them in the house, then the yard and then in a field with a long line. Once they do well you can graduate to no line.
