Im 38 weeks pregnant and I have this super energetic baby girl in my womb right now, and watching this video make me feel safe knowing that I drink 8 or more glasses of water a day.
I'm really glad I ran into your channel. My OB literally tells me nothing. I'm 30 weeks pregnant this week, I only see her every 4 weeks and all she does is check the baby's heartbeat and tells me about my next appointment. Actually, she did tell me that my iron levels were low so she gave me iron supplements to take. My appointments are only 5 mins long unless my husband and I ask questions. It's because of you that I realized that it's not just about eating healthy, exercising and reducing stress. No one ever mentioned a birth plan so I've been scrambling to figure all that out. But my girlfriends say if she doesn't say anything that means everything is fine. Sure, but I'm a FTM who knows nothing about going through labor. Sorry, I had to vent but thank you for being you!
I feel you! I have the exact same "situation." I found it hard to trust her because I walk out of the clinic not gaining new info. I get all my health info/baby updates from pregnancy apps..! And my hubby and I usually don't have questions because we already read the apps updates! It is a bit frustrating. I guess I have kind of accepted it already since I will be delivering after Thanksgiving, it is a little too late (and I am tired) to find a new OB. I am just going in for the sole purpose of checking the baby via ultrasound.
You're lucky that this is your case. You'd rather hear bad news? And have to have weekly monitoring because you're at a very high risk of going into preterm labor?? I thought not. I wish my pregnancy wasn't this way, I constantly am in and out of hospital, completely on bed rest. I am terrified of loosing my little baby . I'm only 21 weeks.
Me too. My ob doesnt tell me anything much. She just always says my babys heart beat is high. Shes not asking about me either. Why is that? Im kinda frustrated. She even told me that its okay to eat anything. When i check google it says not.
Adding a lid with a straw to my favorite water bottle was a game-changer for me. Not sure why, but I’m drinking twice as much as I was before. Which stinks because I’m taking more trips to the bathroom. But it’s definitely helping in so many ways! It’s amazing how helpful something so simple can be.
Don't forget about your electrolytes too! I try and drink coconut water or half a vitamin water in addition to regular water to balance things out. Also, I can ONLY take my prenatal with juice or vitamin water. Happy pregnancy ladies! :)
I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my first baby and was diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum finding a balance to regulate the cycle of nausea, vomiting, and dehydration has been a constant battle especially during the first 16/17 weeks. I had to try multiple prescription medications to help with the problem because home remedies were ineffective. I even tried consuming watermelon to increase my water intake and was not successful. Now, that I'm in my third trimester, its seems like the battle has repeated itself. The latest case of dehydration had me in the triage experiencing 4 min apart contractions.
My midwife insists on 80+ ounces of liquids. Not just plain water. Personally I feel too much plain water runs right through me, probably taking minerals with it. Home made broth and water with electrolytes (without artificial ingredients) are good options for hydration which actually reaches your cells as they provide minerals along with water. Getting plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit can also support hydration.
Drinking too much water can flush out electrolytes from your food causing more dehydration. A wise DR I know says to only drink when you feel thirsty. Of course you can still casually drink water. But just keep that in mind, water dilutes vitamins you eat from food or other drinks.
I buy my wife cases of bottle water she refuses to drink water and then complains constantly so I'm sending her this video maybe she will listen to you. I'm just the stupid man who got her pregnant lol.
When you are done with the first trimester symptoms, you can hydrate more by filling a big jug with water and add 1/4 apple juice or coconut or lemon juice whatever you like just to remove the "bland water taste" and sip from the big jug all throughout the day and refilling it as needed...do not try to chug it all down at once or you will definitely hate it. Just make it a habit to drink small amounts every 15mins.or whenever you feel bored. It works wonders! That's how I got my husband to put more water in his system. He has the good habit of drinking more water now.🖒
I've never been able, even when forcing myself, to drink 8 glasses of ANY liquid per day, I have no idea how people do it. I tried explaining to my nutritionist I can't drink that much and all she gave me was tips to flavor the water like the idea someone can't drink their weight in water is an impossibility :I What's the obsession of drinking far past satiation? Am I wierd?
I’m currently 23 weeks pregnant with my first I have a mild case of hyperthyroidism. Just got out of the hospital yesterday for cramping and I was having small contractions and they scared me telling me to watch for premature labor 😔 is there any advice or tips you can give me? Btw it’s the morning after and I’m still having very light cramping pain
Mandy Irby I had my baby at 33 weeks an 4days due to me being in the hospital for a week due to my water breaking. She is doing great baby came out weighting 5lbs an 4oz
Thank you for this video i came from a doctor visit on Friday and she told me that i have a low cervix. this video helped me by knowing i got to keep drinking water. my question is, is all water created equal... is there a brand i should avoid.
I'm 27 weeks and I drink about 4 bottles of water a day. I mostly only drink water but every now and again I'll get a Gatorade. I don't drink caffeine except I started drinking a cup coffee about a weeks ago 🙂
I guess it also really depends on a woman’s body. But yes, water is essential; however in my case I loved drinking water during my pregnancy and still resulted on a preterm delivery at 33 weeks. 😂
Can I try to convince baby even I had one preterm labor in past (at 31 week gestation),just 2 months ago by c_section. I had a baby boy but by God's will, he died after one month. So I want to have another baby. Could you plz suggest meh can I have one or not? I'm in 3rd month of postpartum.

My wife is carrying twins and it's her 7th month now, she's got T3 level 1.62 now. How to make this normal naturally? Can she give natural birth after 8th month completion of both are in Vertex position? Does she have to take rest now or she can work/walk?
Wow didn’t know this one. Currently afraid of preterm labor now at 32 weeks on my 2nd baby. Esp because my first baby was prematurely born at 30 weeks and I had a premature rupture of amniotic sac at 28wks..
I’m 33 weeks pregnant but my water broke a few days ago. Now all the efforts are spent on keeping the baby longer in my belly. I started feeling more contractions today, hopefully it’s it can be solved by drinking more water, fingers crossed.
Pooja Mangal she is now a happy and healthy ten months old even though she’s born at 33 weeks. She’s already caught up with normal babies of the same age group physically and mentally.
@@AgathaTsing brilliant. Love and blessings to momma and daughter :) am pregnant too at 29 weeks currently, started contracting and dilated to 2 cm. On bed rest now. Really scared. Want to help this baby stay in me for 5 more weeks. :(
Pooja Mangal oh no, you must be stressed but please don’t. Most premature babies are able to live healthily so be relaxed! My advice to you is DON’T MOVE! Just lie on bed and rest, don’t do anything! All the best to you and your baby 👶

Look out for urinary tract infections or yeast infections. They can cause urine to be discolored or bad discharge. Drinking water in moderation with taking prenatal, magnesium citrate, fish oil pills, and vitamin d3 can help your body stay healthy. For UTI or yeast infections you must see a doctor or OBGYN to prescribe you medications. Products like Monistat can help with yeast infections and can be bought at the store. For strong UTI general foods that help are kimchi, garlic and cranberry juice. Avoid sugars and breads it feeds both problems.
Miss Mandy plz guide me what should I do? I'm 23weeks4days pregnant .this week my doctor told me that my cervical length is 1.6 .I m strictly on bed rest . I wish I could complete my 28 weeks plz guide me
Bed rest helped me a lot . Now its my 9th month alhumdulillah . Hydration is also helpful. The main thing is firmly belive in Allah and the precautions.
All she recommends is drink water, and far too much on top of that. Drinking excessive water will cause your body to expel all essential minerals and vitamins, which can never be compensated with the minerals inside of any water brand/ tap water. You'll flush out magnesium, which is critical to healthy muscles, while supplements ( any supplements for that matter) will not prevent that deficit. Check your urine, the lighter it is (or the more often you need to go) the more you need to adequately nourish yourself to restore micro nutrients. Consciously take deep and slow breaths to focus, and temporarily shift your attention away from your fears. Mother knows best. Don't listen to this actor, listen to your body!
True but most ppl dont drink enough, and like me, I still haven't accepted the fact that I need more water. This info is kinda obvious, but the video is go motivation
