It will drive you crazy if you don't like seeing your car dirty or seeing every little scratch.I take it once every week to the car wash ( wash by hand ) and dry with microfiber towels and add on a the last coat to make the paint shine and get rid of water spots.
my car is only 8 months old, it already has fine scratches all over the paint. And I only used microfiber towels to dry/wipe down, it still scratched the shyte out the paint.
Just bought a very dark blue almost black car and am already stressing out getting those swirls. My main problem is that I live in a building and don’t have access to a hose. The other problem is that my garage is very, very dusty and just 2 days after a wash the car has a light film of dust. Is it possible to get a ceramic coating and then dry was the car once a week on weekends with a good product? Or will that layer of dust still scratch the paint?
I also have a black car and stress out about it getting dirty. I've come to the conclusion that I'll just have to accept that it's not going to be perfect. I would get a ceramic coating and dust it off every day with a car duster, while every week do a quick detail spray down of the whole car
I have a 98 honda civic hatchback, Original color is silver, thinking of painting it glossy black, but i am worried about maintaining cleanliness since its for daily driving... i am thinking of just respraying it silver, what you guys think?
gun metel grey is the way you should go...make sure to have a trained professional to colour sand and polish it tho....i personally do it myself because i can paint and buff (its my job)
way too hard a job to keep up with over years. swirls are gonna inevitably happen. i had a black car once and did all i knew how but swirls inevitably show up...and they look like shheeeiiitttee in the sun..
I am selling my black car and getting a blue one lol black is awesome but just sooooo annoying when you spend hours on your black car in a cool garage and you use 50 microfiber rags and polish and wax then you roll out into the sun and damn!!!!! Swirls and scratches still 🤦🏼♂️soooo bye bye black beauty!
working in a body shop and buffing/ polishing black cars is a nightmare only when it comes to washing a black car....it looks amazing in the sun and at all angles until you wash it to remove the buffing compound..........400 times more work to make a black paint job look nice for you lovely customers dont buy a black car
right! i work at a body shop and am considerably the best polisher around my area...when you wash black it is a nightmare it takes so much effort to keep it swirl free
