It's not odd for people that work in the direct sun to cover up, sometimes even with a sweatshirt. I've seen people here in the desert with full sweatsuits on while landscaping or pool cleaning. Crazy. Not sure how they don't dehydrate.

Had the local Oreliy order me one. It does a great job with water spots on the paint , and windows. Really cleaned up my metal bumpers on my 2015 Ram as well as the factory plastic rim covers after the initial cleaning. It's tough to explain but it behaves like a detail spray neutralizing cleaning residues as well as a typical spray wax leaving some gloss behind.. The factory rims on the ram always had a residue look after cleaning but with an application of this stuff they look really good. The key is to have 2 microfiber clothes . 1 to apply and the 2nd to buff the haze clear with.

Tawi Dave Look at the way the Middle Easterners dress in the desert; 'Nuff said; It works! For short durations, go light (shorts, t-shirt, etc.) but all day affairs, fully clothed in the sun with light reflecting clothing is the win
it is only 77 degrees in the sun so how cold do you think it was earlier when scott started his day? geez some people. no common sense. a black car in direct sunlight whether it is cold or hot absorbs heat like a magnet and will dry a car very quickly. that's why it is important to get the water off fast. by contrast we humans need help to warm up on cool days. if you are making comments like that then you have no practical experience about everyday things and concern yourself with nitpicking. how about you just say "thanks scott. great video. i really do appreciate you taking the time to make it." if it were me i would just let them unsub and keep going cause you know you cant please everybody. if i were making a video to help people and all they wanted to do was whine and moan like babies i would be very discouraged about making videos cause who wants to be beat up like that when all you're trying to do is help others out.
Been using final detail for years now. It’s a easy wax to spay on and wipe off you car after a wash. A lot of people use it in the car show circuit, to give their car a nice shine, since you can use it anytime. I alway wash my car in the shade, because I like to take my time and do a good job.

I'm in australia and just bought a gallon of spray.n wax. . So simple so cheap. Will receive product an about a week . Will save a fortune on big branded names . Thanks for the idea and I have a BLACK CAR !!
I tried in 96 degree direct sun and this stuff WORKS! Washed with Chemical Guys Pink wash and followed the video, excellent results. Thanks for the video.
I am not sure what I did wrong, but I used the spray wax and had oily slime all over my truck and windows. I had to wash the truck again to get that off. I used maybe 4:1 water to spray. It was a bad disaster. Now I have spots all over it. I dont care what you call me, but please someone tell what went wrong. At this point I will never use this again.
In cases of extreme heat you should really wait to do something like that in the shade but if you can't help it it is best to stick with only washing one panel of the car at a time all at the same point you were constantly drying that car
Id like to say, I do this with a drying aid - Cheap as chips. UK crap weather, not needed but sunny hot day, hot paint, i used Demon shine or its super cheap brother, Carplan 5 litre hi-wax rinse, just keep the paint wet all over as you wash, then spray as you dry... finish with waterver you want (say a decent spray wax like meguiars quik wax) or move to a paste/liquid wax stage.
Superior Formula 4 Spray Wax for auto car washes mixed 1:3 with water so 1 gallons makes 4 gallons. Wash and rinse vehicle. Spray the diluted wax to cover the the side of the vehicle. Rinse again. You have about 20 minutes to before it dries to create some water spots. Dry with a towel to buff the wax. As a side note the chemical PDMS is silicone. It needs an emulsifier for it to blend with water.
You were showing my situation just yesterday. Required an additional 1.5 hours more to erradicate the spots. Had to polish that mess out. Great advice on the product and thanks for passing on the secret.
I watched this video and forgot about the dilution part with black vehicles on hot temperatures. I followed their instructions of diluting 10:1 and I STILL HAD PLENTY OF WATERSPOTS on my black jeep. I was washing it in a shaded area at 100 F. Next time I will dilute it 3:1 and see if that works better.
What the hell, I've spent more money on promising products just to be let down so I gave this a go. Here in Tampa FL I'll do the Pepsi challenge against Dallas for sun baked cars, hell water spots form here before water even hits the car. I followed Scott's example, mixed a solution of about 4:1, and used about 10 oz. of finished product on my black VW CC and the results were ,"Damn", no better yet, "DAMN!", or even "DAY-EM!!!" Not a single water spot. Drying time was also cut in half maybe more. I used to hurry and get my car back into the garage to dry it but this time the entire wash and dry was done in full sun and the result was a perfect job. Added bonus is you'll finally find out where that car-wash smell comes from. Thanks Scott, really appreciate the tip.
I purchased this product for my new Tesla and I have to say it is incredible. So, first I rinse my car then I spray this stuff all over my car starting on the roof, hood, trunk, windows etc. Then, I wash my car and rinse, no spots, easy to dry and a great shine. Scott, you’re dealing with people who have no idea of achieving common domestic tasks and the use of common sense; which, sadly has demised these days. I see my grandchildren sitting in front of their devices instead of helping mum and dad like I had to back in the ‘50’s and learning. Their only option to learn when they think they are old enough to live independently or with a partner is YT. That’s all they know. Yeah. What I done was just wash the car and take my time. And then in the end, just go over it with a quick detailer and wipe it in without rushing at all. Gets rid of all water spots
You just need simply 10% vinegar from store and spray it after rinsing the soup. Venegar is an acid and is reacting with water minerals which is doing that milky spots (calcium and magnesium etc)
i don't understand how were still dealing with this issue with water spots if you guys really want a way to never get water spots it very simple you buy this Finish Jet-Dry Dishwasher Rinse Aid Liquid and add this to your bucket of what ever soap you buy to wash your car i literally put like half of the container in there and fill up a 5 gallon bucket to a little over half with water first then i add the rinse aid and then my soap then wash your vehicle top to bottom and rinse and thats it let it in the sun and boom you will get no water spots and your vehicle dries faster this is a win win, if it works on dishes it works on your car. hope this helps anyone i have never had this hurt any of my paint if your worried try on a very small area just to make sure.

PDMS, or Polydimethylsiloxane, is used in many car spray waxes such as Meguiar's Synthetic X-press Spray Wax. This stuff is cheaper and has more PDMS than Meg's so it's a better bargain.
1" of vinegar in a 2 1/2 gallon bucket. Don't waste your money on soap unless you have heavy dirt to power wash off Learned it from my parents and neighbour and have been washing/waxing my own vehicles for 40+ years

Would you consider doing a video on how to take care of a ceramic coated car and also how to safely clean (remove tar and bug splat) from paint protection film? I used the wrong (petroleum based) tar and bug remover and melted the PPF. Would citrol be safe on ceramic coats and PPF?
So what about days that are above 100 F°? I want to start my mobile detailing business this year when the weather Is good but I want to practice different methods on my own cars this summer to see what works best for me. One thing I do plan on doing Is buying a portable canopy that I can set up during summer. And I don't plan on starting with Di water because we'll I can't afford It, I plan on starting out of my car and maybe by summer or by the next summer I'll be able to afford a truck or Van so I can get a tank and a generator etc.
Another reason of those spots could be that you didn't wash the vehicle with soap there and it could be the the disturbed dirty . Hence when it rains and your car is dirty the dirt doesn't always wash off. It just bundles up. Maybe 🤷♂️ I think so. Yeah that is it lol
