I love this series and I am looking to start my own luxury picnic business! Thank you for sharing with us! Could you do a video on how to collaborate with local vendors and small businesses? Like, how do you go about making those connections/relationships, working out a contract, etc.? How many picnics do you do in a day and do you have a staff/team? very helpful! I'm a new subscriber, love your content! I wonder if you could also make a video regarding contracts or somethin'. I wanna start this kind of business around mid year last year but I'm anxious about things like what if after an event there are damages to the items? What if they did not return the items (I'm trying an indoor kind of picnic rentals where I let the clients set it up for themselves since it's safer that way as of now) .. I've been trying to research but infos are so limited about this :( So glad to have found your channel tho. very helpful

Hi Michelle, thanks for the tips you provided! These are super helpful. I looked at getting insurance through NEXT, however, it asked if I was going to cater food or make flower arrangements, when I said yes, it didnt allow me to sign up. How did you do this for your business. I will be using a vendor for most foods but I might buy pastries at a shop and bring to the event. Is that considered catering? I was also hoping to create some flower arrangements myself... You go girl! so excited for all of the success you have found.

My main concern is weather. I know in your previous video you said you can reschedule, but what happens if it starts raining when you set up? How do you determine if you need to reschedule them when you look at the weather?

I would always keep a handy patio umbrella and or canopy that you can quickly setup to keep your guest protected. Your guest will let you know if they want to reschedule or enjoy the coziness of cuddling up under the canopy. You can find affordable pop up canopies on Amazon.

Could you explain why after dividing by 30 days, you divided again by 2? I'm a bit confused what dividing by two is for, thank you!!

Dividing by 30 = amount for one day. Dividing again by 2 could mean if you have one event in a day for 2 hours then the end amount would equal the price for each hour.

You included your rate but what about the actual usage fees? Is it $175 plus your rate or is that including everything such as: your rate, set up time, usage etc?

From the Description she says it’s everything, her hourly, the per person rate, insurance, gas, clean up, set-up, wear and tear on the car, but she didn’t mention food. :)

You should put a clause in your contract. State the charges for stolen or damaged items.

Can anyone give me a hint on if there are necessary permits you need to set up a picnic in a public park or beach? There is not much information outhere about this topic 😞

So there are no permits needed for a picnic in a public use space. Just check with your local beach and park authorities on rules such as glass and alcohol, and lit candles. As long as you are not selling anything on the beach and park you are fine otherwise you will need a vendor permit. If having an event where you have 10 or more guest you may need to get a special use permit. Hope this helps💕

175.00 is too low. It’s a lot of work setting up and breaking down. I live in Hawaii and I charge $500.00 for a 2 hr picnic and my customers have no problem paying it. I add cheese crackers etc

Hey Love its so funny you mention this looking back iI this video I literally scream at what I was charging , this video is from around the time I started my business. As I grew my business & realized how much work I was doing I definitely went up on my price and do not charge ANYWHERE near what I use too lol.

@@gloriamensah8900 I have been in business since November 2020. I’m located in Arizona. I don’t use foldable tables but I use the table tops from IKEA they go in the car flat and I have a drill to put some hairpin legs on that I got from Amazon. Takes me about 5 minutes each table very quick and easy.
