It's nature week in my studio next week. Loving the idea of this, and I just so happen to have that very same stamp pad sitting right on my work table. Thanks for a pleasantly soft video and the inspiration to combine the stamping and tracing to speed up the realistic result.
Oh, I am absolutely in love with this technique and want to try it. I have a question: The last few days, I have collected some small leaves from you backyard and noticed that some of them have curled up overnight making it difficult to work with. Do you have any suggestions how to stop that from happening? Maybe I need to press them between books or something? Thanks so much for posting this. I love your content you post.
Thanks so much! I collected my leaves the night before and put them in a plastic baggie which helps keep in the moisture (I didn’t seal it up tight) and they stayed flat. I just wouldn’t press them too flat so you don’t lose the veining in the leaf. Hope this helps! 😊🍁
Really beautiful work! I have been collecting quite a few fallen leaves lately. I used watercolor pencils to draw a few, then added water. They turned out okay, but the veins were the trickiest part for me, because I didn't get to make the veins thin enough. Leaf veins are so intricate, so it's nice to maintain their form with the stamping method you use. I also love the texture of the paper in your sketchbook, and the shadows were well done, also.

That’s so awesome 👏! So glad you are enjoying art again. I like the Pentel Twist-Erase 111 especially because of the large eraser. It’s not very expensive and has been reliable. You can find online or at an office supply store.Hope that helps and thanks so much for watching 😀
Oh great question and I forgot to mention that you definitely want soft/pliable leaves. I tried both and the dried leaves crumbled. I gathered most of mine the day before and the plastic baggie kept enough moisture to keep that soft. Thanks for watching! 😊🍂
Your lease looked really flat. Did you press them for a long time? I definitely want to try this. I live in a little island in Alaska considered the rainforest so lots of different types of leaves and I’m going to be using fresh ones.
