How to produce high-quality seed yam using single node vine cuttings

This video shows how to grow high-quality foundation seed yam using vine cuttings from plants generated from mini tubers smaller than 10g (produced from aeroponics or hydroponic). It also shows the direct planting of single node vine cuttings on fermented rice husk (cured rice husk) nursery beds, a Good Agronomic Practice (GAP) that serves as mulching to reduce weed competition as well as aid root formation and development.

Wonderful video ma. But the camera was not close enough for us to clearly see how the cutting was done before planting the vine. Please if you can bring the camera closest next time for us to grasp all you are doing.

Very interesting video and thanks for your detailed explanation. Very quickly...what month can this vine be cut off for nursing? And can I cut the vine from the planted yam in ridges or heaps to perform this experiment? Your response will be highly appreciated.

Thanks for sharing. I have a few questions, what do you mean by fermented rice husks or rather how do you ferment the rice husk? Secondly what time of year is best for this in the tropics?
