A quick and easy video on how to program a flip key remote fob to a 2014 - 2016 Chevy Impala.

Key programming instructions available at www.ProgramAut...
1. Insert an existing programmed working flip key remote fob into Chevy Impala ignition cylinder.
2. Turn ignition to the ON position, then back to OFF position.
3. Remove the existing remote fob flip key and within 5 seconds insert new remote fob flip key and turn it to the ON position for 5 seconds.
4. Turn key OFF then back to ON. The remote fob flip key is now programmed. Start vehicle to test key.
This programming procedure will program a new flip key remote fob to the following Chevrolet Models:
2014 Chevy Chevrolet Impala
2015 Chevy Chevrolet Impala
2016 Chevy Chevrolet Impala

This works. I bought two new key fobs, called a locksmith, they came to cut the key for me, he asked if I knew how to program it, told him I watch a video on RU-vid. He cut the key and did the programming free of charge. It was the exact same process explained in this video! Thank you for sharing this tutorial

Dealer told me I'd have to schedule an appointment with the shop to get the key programmed. $72 to cut the key is ridiculous enough. Thanks for the video!!

What if I bought a new key fob with a circuit board from off Amazon... took my original key out of the old fob put it in the new fob and did these steps would it program that new circuit board as well?

I have a 2014 Impala Limited with twist key ignition and keyway like the one in your video. All the keyfobs I search for have a different style key blade. Do you know part number for keyfob in your video?

2 questions, so u said in previous comments that it'll program the remote portion as well, does that include the remote start feature on the remote? And my 2nd question is, could u possibly provide an Amazon link to that remote so I don't mess up and buy the wrong 1 please?

Hey , I have a weird question : Is it possible to use other people keys ( for vehicles other than my own ) to unlock my Impala through the hidden slot present on the driver door ? And if so , is it possible to program them using this procedure you explained ? Please answer me and thank you in advance .

No - a key that is not cut for your vehicle will go in the slot but it wont turn. Also, these keys lock to a vehicle once programmed.

I literally bought one and then made a ran a couple errands with it in the cupholder. And then started this process when I got home but as soon as I switched it to start the car said 3 keys programmed. Didn't even need to go through the process.

Yes, the remote portion is programmed at the same time as the key portion.

The second key doesn’t work when I try to unlock doors or try to crank it up after a while. This method only works as soon after you take the first key out.

Your vehicle should not respond that way - you either have an issue the key or the vehicle itself
