Hey Chris, Dan here. I visited the shop with Mike Huffman. This is my new RU-vid handle. I finished my S&S 129ci build you sold me. This is probably the 10th time I’ve watched this. I used this video to install my TM on my Fat Boy “Killmonger” after installing SE 64mm Intake/Throttlebody, SE 5.5 sec, and Alloy Art Boom Box. It’s Saturday 13JUL2024 at Midnight on the 8th day I pulled an all nighter after receiving my SE Heads from J.E.T. Pro Street porting. I have cold feet on actually starting SilverBAK up after beginning this build in March. Now I’m tacking notes on this video so I don’t screw it up like I did on Killmonger. I really appreciate the information you have provided over the years, and just wanted to say, thank you. I wish the Tee you gave me had the big circle flying hog on the front. 😂. ☮️ brother/2FD SKWID Rider’s Shipmate ET1(SS/SW/MTS) US Navy, Ret. Thank you for posting this. My dad Bought a bike with this thundermax and pulled the battery out for a different bike for a few months and I believe his tune was cleared because it isn’t running right now and pings real bad under throttle.
Do you have a pre made map package for a 2018 RGS. 107 to 114 big bore. Woods 22XE cam. Fuel moto jackpot xxx hi output headpipe w/ jackpot rtx mufflers. Hpi 58mm w/ hpi manifold. 5.5 inj. If so, what do you guys charge to sell that map?
Thanks for the video. I’m interested in the Thundermax. How hard is it to generate a map based on individual bike configurations? All the tuners (Power Commander, FP3, Power Vision) seem to have canned maps and may require a dyno tune. For the cost of tuners it isn’t cost effective to purchase them, and then have to spend another $500 bucks on a four hour session on tuning. My bikes a 2016 HD Streetglide Special, Fuelmoto Outlaw 110 Big Bore Kit, 58MM throttle body, Arlen Ness Monster Sucker, Woods 999-6 Cam, 5.3 SE injectors, FM Jackpot 2 into 1 exhaust. I just want my bike to run the best it possibly can on the highway and in the city.
i installed a thundermax on my 2006 street glide last night, took a couple of hours, the majority of time was spent routing the sensor wires. there where step by step instructions provided on how to choose a base map, guiding you through the parameters by order of importance, it was very easy. i took it for a ride today, ran great, right off the bat, very smooth, and i guess its supposed to get better over time. i had a power commander v installed prior, which was okay, but i could not seem to get a map to match my build. the autotune module for the power commander system was another option, but i just didn't want another piggy back black box zip tied to the side of my ECM, the thundermax replaces all of that, makes a nice clean setup, and updates my older bike to even better than newer models because it uses wide band sensors instead of narrow band.
Awesome video 😀 I have a 2009 roadking Classic I have a problem with Engine ping when hitting full throttle what adjustments could I make to get rid of that. Thanks 😀
Have an 03 TC88 that has been cammed...Didn't do any head work or valve work...and it has stock injectors. I have had the Thundermax on it now probably 3-4 years....Im not sure they redid the map when they did the cams....Can you help me..??
I have an 02 fatboy with the tmax 309-460 tuner. Also running a thunderheader exhaust. Before the tuner, on decel, I had lots of pop, snap and crackle coming out of the exhaust, which I approved of. Now, with the addition on the tuner, I have lost all of my exhaust decel pops, and frankly, I miss it. By far, the tuner has been an excellent addition to my bike, but, how do I get the snap, crackle and pop back into the exhaust?
I’ve put about three different maps in my thunder max and can’t seem to get it set up right. Should I just leave it alone and put some miles on it and let it tune itself?
Yes. But being this comment is 3 years old. I’m sure you got it figured out. Best way to tune with TMax is to just ride it smoothly the first 50-75 miles. Then ride to your style
