If you have only one key and want A second one you have to take it to the dealership or someone that can copy and program the key I got mine done at ACE Hardware in Monroe, MI. Got a second key for my car cut and programmed around $70 out the door .

try using the slave key as a second key by holding the programmed chipped key close to the ignition cylinder so it gets the ok signal ..just guess

First turn to "On" is once, off then "On" is two , then off then On is three...... then 8 "On" and stop, you'll hear door locks click, (if not you were'nt consistant and took a paulse )then press each remote any button, then within 20 second's press the second remote and then turn off the ignition and both should work now.

@@Ashkoren as far as i remember to add an additional key (not remote) without an OBDII tool, the manual on my particular 2008 stated 2 keys were necessary. It then read something like if you lost one or more keys take it to ford. (I am sure their is a way to navigate around the requirement but i didn't know it) For me though I just went somewhere that had a computer that could bypass the security and added new keys as I only had one original key. if you are in mainland US the store was batteries plus bulbs and i think the fee was either like 19 or 39 bucks if you brought your own keys. otherwise an automotive locksmith or auto shop. hope that helps.

I think it's slightly different, I don't have the paper any more, did your key come with paperwork, is it same key as mine?

it is exactly the same, the ebay seller told me it doesn't come with paper work. do you have to program the key fob to start the car first before you program the remote to operate the door locks?. do you know where I can get the proper instructions for it

That is normally the second key the dealership gave you. That's if you haven't lost it yet.

@@loganrivard5154 My sucky dealership only provided me with the master Key -no second key and no FOB ....what a bunch of buttholes as they were really nasty telling me that I lost the second one-NOPE the car salesman NEVER GAVE ME A SECOND KEY .......I asked for it when I bought it used ....
