Yet did it and worked👍. Thanks. But what gets me mad is the printer will not print if one ink is empty! even when I don't need that ink to print. Anyway around that?. Any help please. 👍😁
Hello Good Sir. How does changing the chip help in the ultimate quest for maximum ink? Doesn't putting a new chip on an old cartridge shorten the life of the NEW cartridge.
Thank you Viandant5 for the helpful info! Is there a way to remove the print head on Epson-XP305 ...the one you show with the 4 ink cartridges? The cartridges snap into the head and the inkjets are on the head -- so if the jets are dried out and plugged up how can I remove the head for cleaning? -- because my printer completely doesn't print, even when trying to do nozzle check.
Ended up getting a continuous ink supply system for $65 on eBay, and it came full. It works great, and I won't be spending $70 every two months for ink now.
Tried to put chip from empty cartridge onto the unrecognised chip and I just get the same message 'replace bk ink'... Chip cannot be used again on xp-342
Incidentally whenever I buy an Epson 4-colour inkjet pack, the 3 colors always run out long before the black runs out, and as a result I've got a pile of unopened black cartridges building up, is there any way round that?
I don't know how much money I wasted on ink, I paid over $35 for black T252 XL size of 3 regulars last years, printed 6 set of tax return I barely have enough ink to print this year and printer notify me I'm out of ink, I remember something fishy about printer maker put a memory chip on ink so you can only print certain times no matter you print 1 word or thousand when times limited reached printer would lie to you out of ink so I google and find the resetter from Ebay seller; inkjetofficesupply, took 3 days to arrive and it works, all my inks are full tank instead of empty.
The chips are obviously more than just a counter because i replaced the chips and did the tape method on the black and now it says unrecognized chip. So somehow the printer knows when the chip doesnt match up with the exact color. At this point with all this work you might as well just go buy the ink.
@@viandant5 so you have to go buy a new black ink cartridge and take the chip from that and put it on the old, thus lessing the life of the new cartridge. At this point there shouldnt even be a video on this, you might as well just go buy a new ink cartridge.
The problem is that you print a lot, probably with low cover of the sheet, may be less than 5%. after a certain number of pages the chip of the cartridge will give the error message without knowing how many ink there is into the cartridge.
This is a really good printer ru-vid.comUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 . The reason I gave 4 stars for tech support (which I don't think this would classify as tech support) is because once you turn the printer on, it does require a little bit of start up time which may bother some who are in a hurry to quickly print something. To offset that though the printer prints very quickly. I would definitely purchase this printer again.
Check in the cassette, inside the printer to remove the jammed paper. Turn the printer off and then back on again. turn the printer upside down to remove any foreign object. If the error does not clear, I think you have to contact a repair center.
AVOID model# XP640 LIKW THE PLAUGE!!! Epson has improved their ability to scam you on ink cartridges with this model. Cartridges cannot be reset. Printer totally shuts down if any color is "out", even if you just need black and white. Firmware will show cartridge is empty when there is actually some left. The cartridges, model 610 are stupid small low capacity and very expensive per page printed.
