In this video I'll explain the "interdental" sounds which come from between the front teeth. They are ظ - ث - ذ and how you can differentiate between them. I also talk about a very nice trick you could use to make it easy for you to pronounce ظ.

There’s so many dialects in the Arabic language and also they it is not the same as Quranic Arabic. Even Arabs have to learn tajweed. The difference is that it is easier for them.

The articulation point of the ظ is as explained in the video. It is a heavy letter so the tongue is raised at the back to make it sound fat, or we can say full mouthed. The ض is also a heavy letter. But the articulation point (where the sound of a letter originates from) is the sides of the tongue touching the molars. The tongue does not extend under the teeth as in the case of ظ. I would suggest investing time in learning face to face with a teacher. Online lessons do help to an extent. But there is no equivalent for face to face learning.

I don't find it that difficult to say these 3 letters but to connect vowel letters to the last letter discussed I sometime find it a little tricky during reading though I get it 50% of the time.
