Pineapple propagation ☺️
➡️Make sure to buy a good pineapple, with healthy looking green leaves. You don't want the ones where the leaves are drying out.
➡️Cut off the top, right below the leaves. You don't want the "meat", the part that you actually eat. If you cut further down, just remove the "meat".
➡️Start peeling off lower leaves. The first few layers are really tough to remove, but after that, it becomes easy.

Think of this as any other cutting, you want to remove most of the leaves, so the plant can focus it energy on root production instead of sustaining existing leaves. Leave only a few leaf layers on the top.
➡️When you're done, you can stick the pineapple in the ground or in water. I suggest water, because it will be easier to maintain.
➡️Place it next to the brightest window.
➡️Once it grows 1-2 inches of roots, plant in soil and treat as any other plant, with the exception that these guys need a lot of direct sun.
