These plants produce their own cloning agent so just putting them in water is all you need to do to to get lots of roots and the water you start your cutting in is good to start other cuttings in they’ll root way faster. I love these flowers I’ve been growing them for several years🙂

For fertilizer I would suggest miracle grow tomato plant food. When the plant begins to leaf use the small part of the spoon wich comes with the plant food and add to a gallon of water. As the the plant gets more leafy and bigger switch to the larger end of the spoon and add to a gallon of water and fertilize every 2 weeks depending how much water your plant drinks . I have mine out doors in pots so they drink more water and I can fertilize them more . When it begins to bloom switch to a bloom buster fertilizer like Jack's

Thank you 🤗 for mentioning to your viewers that although beautiful, this is a TOXIC ⚠️ plant ☠️. (Even hands should be washed after handling this plant 🌱 If one has small children and / or pets they should consider not growing this flower 🌸 in their garden) “The beautiful angel’s trumpet with its large, fragrant flowers is one of the most toxic garden plants. It’s notorious for its hallucinogenic powers, but can also cause migraines, constipation, muscle paralysis, eye problems, tremors and DEATH. All parts of the angel’s trumpet plant are toxic, but the most dangerous parts are the leaves and seeds.”

The Angel Trumpet (Brugmansia) is a nightshade, so to call it poisonous might confuse some people. It's as poisonous as your tomato vine is and you have to be allergic or really tiny with a large dose to be affected. The Datura plant is much more dangerous and since it's low growing, is more available for consumption of animals and small kids who put everything in their mouth. But unless it's raining or you are standing under it while watering it or are allergic to it, it's very unlikely to cause any problems. I will say you are braver than me cutting an angel trumpet log like that. My Angel Trumpet is ... 12-14 years old now and it's only been frozen back once cause of user error with the greenhouse heaters. Right now it's about 8 feet fall with a 6 or 7 foot crown and two main trunks. I grow it sorta like a bonsai, where it's unusual forking patterns lend some interest. I curl the limbs into a manageable habit (ie, can fit through the greenhouse door). I get a flush of flowers about ever 3 weeks, usually 20-50 flowers per flush. The smell will knock you out of your shoes when you open the greenhouse door. It's technically a family heirloom that my niece's great grandmother gave to my mom when my brother got married to his ex wife. I'm hoping I can give it to my niece one day if she shows interest.

@KUPHSER
@KUPHSER 5 лет назад
The Walking Crow are you kidding, brugmansia IS just as poisonous as datura. she actually did a perfect warning. the hazard lies in if the plant is consumed, and children have a tendency to put things in their mouths, and then swallow. and you should definitely wash your hands after handling brugmasia. if you think its not worth noting go and eat a few flowers then see what you have to say for yourself

@@KUPHSER Hi there. Was wondering if you could answer my question. First I'd like to state that as a kid I had licked the stamen of the brugmansia plant. I'm currently 18 years old, and its been years since this idiotic situation occurred. It's only until recently that I've been educated on the toxic nature of the brugmansia plant. I was wondering why I didnt end up being poisoned to death by this plant?
@KUPHSER
@KUPHSER 4 года назад
Big Slime because you didn’t consume enough of it. Some people will consume brugmansia or datura (same toxicology) for the delirium high that you get. It is complete insanity tho, I wouldn’t recommend anyone consume these plants for a high. There is also a fine line between the dose that will get you “high” and a dose that will kill you. These plants are beautiful to look at, but potentially evil. If you search “datura trip reports” or “brugmansia trip reports” you can hear people’s experiences
@KUPHSER
@KUPHSER 4 года назад
Big Slime also in some cultures these plants are sacred and have healing powers, only those kind of shaman who have lifetime knowledge with the plants understand how to administer it responsibly, and beneficially for its healing properties. Very interesting to learn about what these plants are capable of. Scary at the same time
