Winged or can begonias come in a range of flower colours including red, pink and white.
These are a begonia the are best grown in a sunny position however not intense summer sun. They need a humus rich soil and as they are tall growing after propagation, they are better in a a pot that is on the heavy side to stop them falling over.
Water as the soil begins to dry, and be careful not tuple the soil become wet and soggy.
Fertilise with a balanced fertiliser at 1/2 the rate recommended on the product.
Prune in winter to spring, remove older canes at ground level and newer greener canes to around 6 nodes. Very the height of pruning for best effect.
Any new shoots at this time should be left to grow.
During the growing season you can tip prune any new canes that are getting to all.
