A HOW TO PLANT GUIDE OF KALO (TARO). We plant Kāī Uliuli variety of Kalo dry-land style. Aloha mai kākou e nā hoa mahiʻai. My name is Ikaika Gante, I am a kanaka mahiʻai (hawaiian farmer) intrigued and inspired by Ancient Hawaiian Agriculture and Korean Natural Farming. Through research, ancestral knowledge, kilo (observations), moon phases, and definitely alot of trial and error, I will attempt to some-what master the cultivation of land and food. Please join me on my journey!

Aloha! Mahalo for your video I just got my first huli ( Ula Ula Kumu , Piikea and Apuwai ) and I'll start my first growing in the next couple days. I'll be growing them dry land style like this so I hope it grows good. I'll also be doing it in 20 gal pots due to having a gravel yard. I dont have too much knowledge in growing so trying to find info and this was a great start. E Malama Pono!

How long can we keep huli before planting?

depends on how you store them and the amount of air circulation, but from experience I would say around 7-10 days, depends on variety as well
