Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance just can't stress it enough to people. I deal with the poor heating equipment maintenance everyday and feel for you. You definitely are a Saint to your customers, keep the faith Brother
I dont know anyone in New York, but if I ever need to-Mikey is the guy! this guy knows his shit. he is real and represents well. that state needs to be proud uh dis guy!
That fur coat comes from a lack of proper pm! Great cleaning job on that condenser coil Mikey pipes! I think a mini split is a better answer than a duc booster fan! What a mess of flex Duc in that attic! It is what it is! Gotta love it Mikey pipes!
Wow that duct work was insane!! Good job on giving an effort and trying something to help the air flow....going the extra step...ive had mixed reaults with duct boosters...another great job ..You also have a great interaction with your customers....
I just this year got a coil gun, I got tired of buying sprayers every year and spending more than what a coil gun cost, I will be buying a viper coil foaming gun soon and already ordering venom packs for next year!!! Also, Nu-Calgon has had price increases several times this year. Buying now for next year to get ahead and have stock, never know Mickey Pipes, with all of your videos and all of us running to buy the products, might not be any available at the beginning of next summer! LOL
I don't have real world HVAC experience, but I'd be at work at 7 am for the right price. Attics and under houses are a no go, but I'd be a damn good helper. 😁
That looks like loads of fun I've been there done that on the electrical and plumbing side not HVAC but oh what fun is to be a primary service technician regardless of the trade LOL
im up at 3-5 and waiting to get out door but just getting this started -calls are far between. its a lethal weapon moment. all dressed up and ...well there ya go.
Mikey, is it just me or Lenox air conditioners difficult to get the shroud off of? I had trouble getting to the condenser and getting the fan off the unit.
As someone already mentioned, I would put the problem rooms on ductless mini split systems and solve the problem! Flex duct should be limited to the last 8’ for sound deadening. Metal pipe properly sized for the run outs and never more than what it’s designed for carrying.
Nice video. I still got 2 bottles of nu calgon I gotta use up too lol. Still got a full free sample of viper...havent been cleaning many condensers. It's all installs for me right now...
My opinions on this matter will be a ductless unit for that room only 115 Volt mini split by fujitsu steal power from a near by outlet lol . Or a fan in a can Johnson supply sells super whisper quite one 115 volts about $400 Bucks add an a additional switch to the light switch to control the fan when the room feels warm .
Does being close to the ground help them to get so dirty? Last week, I checked the outdoor unit of one LG Ductless Mini Split I have on the roof for the first time in almost 15 years, and it looked like new. I did it out of curiosity, as it has been working perfectly since installation and the only maintenance it receives is a filter clean up twice a year.
ok mike got idea, Ill send you a small video but you know ya got shirts right? ok well sippy cup there doesnt inspire enough drive but If my mrs wore a shirt with his face-company logo(your logo of course) with the phrase "got sippy cup?" with her endowments I think they would sell for ya...
if a far room is still lacking air, run a rigid round pipe to the room and finish it with the flex pipe. Flex pipe in general is way more restricting on an hvac system. I hate to see systems that have a 6 ft square piece of duct off the discharge of the fan and then 50 ft flex runs lol not the way to do it at all.
No one wants to do any maintenances now adays its all about new installs. and the companies that want to do maintenances charge a little extra for these things that constantly comes up more and more. Great catch " BIg pictue diagnostic"
Those ducts too long..I clean air ducts and systems, my thoughts would be add a small unit for the extention part. If you got duct cleaning jobs lmk I'm in ny.
I guess you missed the sticker on the lennox condenser but your not supposed to use coil cleaner on their new equiptment the acid eats the coating on the aluminum coils and causes leaks. they require water only to wash them. other wise good video!!
Nice Video, I did this to my 2 units, But for some reason they didn't startup right way, they came back on about 2 hours after that. Didn't get any of the electronic wet, any advice for next time ?
@@PipeDoctor lol, thank you for taken the time to respond to me, I try to be super careful 😅 the 2 units eventually came back on I just weary that I damaged something.
i see a uncovered electrical box and just maybe a built in fireplace if it's a gas place kind its a health issue boy that is some major issues right there wow.
If I was designing this duct system from scratch, I would have run that "70ft duct" run straight as possible in the floor framing underneath (hopefully IBJ). If flush beams were blocking me...bulkhead(s) or tray ceilings...period. Especially in a house like that. Oh yeah...BTW...I would NOT use that much flex. Especially for main trunks. They have plenty of room for insulated sheet metal supply trunks. Flex has it's place, but...again...if I was doing it from scratch. LOL!
When I see these cleaning of the the fur coat condensers, after the first rinse and all the crap is flushed out - I think they would be a real benefit of giving it another chemical (Nubrite or similar) soak as it would actually be able to clean the metal surfaces rather than eating through fur.😉
@@PipeDoctor I heard it was less damaging since the coil cleaners can be harsh and damaging. I don't know if that is true. Maybe if filthy, you need the sprays, then yearly maintenance can use dial.
The resistance for 10 feet of flex equals about 30 feet of smooth steel duct pipe. I tell my customers, it is hard to over come POOR duct design.even with a new furnace. They think a new furnace fixes everything.
What I would do is throw it all out and design the system from scratch with proper ductworks in a proper matter instead of the ugly round tubular ducts. Maybe there is a refitting industry out there.
I just don't know why people the have A/C unit can't keep them cleaned! Maybe you need to make a sheet to give to people telling what they need to do maintenance wises!
What a complete shit show of a dumpster fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🚒🚒🚒🚒 It amazes me how some homeowners are completely unaware of the equipment and how to maintain it. I hope you got paid well and then some for that disaster 😂
Poor, Poor ductwork design. Sch D could not have been done. Don't think can fans would have done much. The condenser wash sooo bad, surprised it did not go up in flames. Really need to be ripped out, and redone. You did all You could do.
