Mazda Mx5 Miata Valve Cover Restoration without Paint! The Valve Cover on my 1995 Mazda NA Miata was looking a little ugly due to years of oxidation which caused some deep pitting. Since I didn't have time to powder coat it, I decided I should make it look as good as possible!
First, I took the cover off and disassembled the whole thing. Then I hit it hard with degreaser, the power washer, and hot soapy water. From there, I took it over to NWC Blasting to get Vapor Honed. It came out pretty good, but after some more rubbing with steel wool and a little polishing, it came out as good as new!
I then show you how to properly install the valve cover on your NA / NB Mazda Miata with the proper torque sequence. Enjoy!
