You eat them soft? We throw them out then. They are so nice while firm. Any ideas on storing a lot, for longer? Cool and dark, instead of, warm and dark?
So I enjoyed this video, but couldn’t help myself but to wonder whether or not you ever thought about going to persimmons anonymous. Lol. Those are quite a lot of persimmons you have there in your cabinet! I can’t even begin to imagine anyone eating that many persimmons. What in the world?! How many do you eat in a given day? Thanks for the video and the chuckle.
Still fruit only diet? Or is it fruit / nuts / seeds? Also, where would u recommend is the BEST place on earth to be a fruitarian??(fresh / non chemical / 🍓🍑)
so Ted... I just picked some persimmons on the lighter orange side, to beat the birds and deer and squirrels to them. So to let them ripen, are you saying that if I put those into a cupboard (like above my fridge) they will be soft/ripe in a week? I've seen another vid that suggests that the astringent variety can be put in the freezer, but I heard that the fuyus are negatively effected in frozen, so one guy allows picks before a hard freeze...like in high 20's... thoughts?
@@jennak.8541 so ironic i just saw your question and i literally just pulled a fuyu off table where i have been letting them ripen fora midnight snack. I still have some on the tree which I’ll cut off tomorrow. I’ve already removed about 130. Ate many. Have many away.
I may be in the same boat, as you. We have a tree full. It is after three days of light freeze, now back to mixed with rain, (Vancouver). There are so many, I don’t know, how to make them last, for a long time. Cool and dark, is my guess. Not warm and dark.
