Forgive my ignorance! I'm brand new to all this! I see these videos with PSA graded cards in the fancy-assed acrylic cases. Where do those cases come from? Is that done as part of the grading? I've got cards going back to the early 70s; but have no idea what they're worth so now I'm trying to educate myself! :)
@CrazyCards12
@CrazyCards12 3 года назад
If you see anything like “PSA” or stuff like that with grading, that has to been sent to graders and they grade your card. If you do have cards like that I suggest looking at eBay and see what the prices for them and see if it’s worth grading 😁

Hey new collector here. I bought a bunch of contenders basketball blasters and im unsure of the size top loaders/one touch mags I should use for the Jersey relic from that product. Can I ask you which size toploaders/mags I should use? I know the cards you used were football so I'm unsure If it be the same for basketball.
@CrazyCards12
@CrazyCards12 4 года назад
Usually jersey/RPA’s are 100-130 point. The best thing you can do is get a measure card that can measure the thickness. If not i suggest using your regular base cards. A regular base card is 35 point and you can stack them up and see how your card matches up with them.

Why don't you use 35 pt one touch cases for regular sized cards only 75 pt? The 75 pt has wiggle space in them opposed to the 35 which has none you don't mind the wiggle room then?...just curious because I am in transition of swapping out my cards from a 75 pt to 35pt one touches....

Usually when you buy a box that has a mix of different size one touches, it comes with a measure card. That card will have all different sizes on there. Most typical autos will be a 35 point, but your thicker cards would be between 75-130 point depending on the product.

I have an impeccable auto card, and national treasures rookie patch auto. Not sure what is better? They measure 100 pt on the chart. I placed a penny sleeve over it, and it was snug. I placed it inside the 130 pt one touch, since I was scared of surface/auto rubbing. The card noticeably moved around in the case. Not sure what is better? Snug fit which can lead to rubbing, or loose fit that causes the card to move around. The good thing with one touch is that they have diamond cutout corners, which prevent the corners of the card from getting dinged.

Thanks for all the helpful info. Are you ever afraid of too much protection? Penny sleeve into a top loader followed by a team bag to seal it? I was just curious because it seems safe, but I'm afraid it may build condensation without any airflow to the card. I have my cards protected like this now should it be a problem?

You would only damage the penny sleeve at that point, you wouldn’t need a penny sleeve in my opinion if you put it in a one touch

Top loaders are really hard plastics me and my friend we use to do shows back in the 1990's and if walked over to the supply table in the box it was labeled hard plastics the hard plastic is the correct term? one touches came around later ? what makes your video more proper? I have questions what do you think about screw downs? I've heard from about 3 people that they say that screw downs damage your cards is there any evidence or are collectors trying to give a new protector called the one touch a chance? then in the Chat May 8th a couple were saying that screw downs are fine and protect your card if it did damage nobody would sell them what do you think about screw downs?
@CrazyCards12
@CrazyCards12 4 года назад
Well I don’t know about the 1990’s but the plastics are what are known as “ top loaders” and the glass is known as “ one touches”. I have a few screwed down one touches however I don’t see them around anymore tbh. The magnetic ones are easier and less of a chance of breaking the glass. I’ve never heard of screw downs damaging cards but the trend today is definitely the magnetic ones over the screw downs. Whatever you decide to use is perfectly fine 😁 I hope I answered your questions.

@@CrazyCards12 you may know them as top loaders but I would never lie to you the original term is what you go by and it's hard plastics? when Chase created that credit card called the sapphire preffered back in 2006 the reserve was not around the Freedom unlimited was not around today you can only get the basic sapphire by downgrading so when referring to the Sapphire preferred can we call it the regular sapphire of course not because somebody named it the sapphire preffered same with hard plastics somebody named it Hard Plastics and that's what we call it?
