Jus randomly got this recommended but jus wanted to say you a legend in the game! Idk why you stopped but cool to see a channel that was probably one of the first to start posting card videos online! Crazy how popular it’s become now you a goat tho bro!!
Nice setup. I like how you make use of all your space, especially in a small area. Not a colts fan but always been a Peyton fan. And no I'm not a Pats fan even though I'm a Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins fan. Go Giants!
This is my grandma beth hagness, I said this on her phone and I couldn't stop watching back then and still a Lil bit now this is the 4th account I subbed on ;)
Wow, lot of cool stuff good job. You know for some of us cards "can be" a decent way to accumulate savings/assets as we age. The guy that finds it impossible to put money away for the future, might have no problem buying and hoarding cards. Like if we didn't spend on cards, that money might be wasted on something we would never even have a chance to get a return from. At least here we technically have a chance.
I have yet to throw out a single card I've collected since 1990, the problem is that they take up huge tremendous space. I love them still and they don't swallow up necessarily the crippling amount of space that I can't make it work but still, I know some day I'll have to make a hard decision letting them go, especially if and it's not far how things are now that I'd bring a family into my life. I know the 1990 and 1991 stuff will never be worth keeping but can't figure out what to do with them. I've even found some of the stuff that was so called top shelf stuff like 1992 bowman and those too are not showing any encouraging signs of future demand. still I find myself wanting to pick up a bargain deal set just because of my attachment to them and having "another".
you said you do cards shows did you do card shows in the 1990's? if so what' was the term that we used for that protector? so for more expensive cards what protector do you use? do you have any screw downs what do you think of them? I've heard from about 3 people that they say they hurt the cards damage the card is there any evidence or are collectors trying to give another protector called a one touch a chance? when you do shows and you see other collectors around what do you and other dealers use for your more expensive cards 1 touch or screw downs? in a live stream 2 people were saying that screw downs are fine if they weren't like they do damage to your cards then nobody would sell them what are your thoughts on Screw downs?
Can you tell me if any cards from late 80's to now are worth anything. Like a Rickey Henderson rookie card. Or Ozzie Smith's. And anything of that nature. Sorry i didn't think you would get this from the last post. Because it was a old video.
Got a question for you, when it comes to sets how do you go about protecting them do you pull and protect the key cards from the set along with other rookies and also star players( your favorites as well depending some people do that) and put the rest of the set in penny sleeves and box(or in a binder). I know some people only protect the key cards in toploaders and the rest in binders or box.
@@michaelahite The Rickey Henderson should either be in a screw down or one touch not a hard plastic? even if he's not selling them the big cards should be separated from the sheets and binders?
+vincentia shiley everyone is different. i like them all. but others only want autos, or just relic cards. some just Rookies. it does take time and patience to do it the way i do. if they are in colts uniform i want them.... i want them all
i have a huge...huge card collection. over thousands, with 25 to 30 autographs all legit and a manning, yogi berra, greg maddox, joe namath, marc logan, jim Bunning, manning rookie, and more jersey cards
@@caseywalker1714 Becketts good but there monthly Ebay is up to the date so if you want to look at a Cal Ripken the whole month in beckett is the same price where ebay gives prices that change every hour beckett your stuck. but they do have top 20 cards the hot list plus publishers news and some other information?
@@marksantucci4230 naw man I've been back collecting for 4 1/2 years and outside of autographs ALL MODERN CARDS SALE HIGHER WITH PSA. You might be a fan but the truth is PSA for MODERN & SGC for VINTAGE. Nobody is picking BECKETT and especially not just because the turn around time is faster. SGC will be number with the next 2-3 year's and that's exactly how it's been trending for last 18 months. If SGC worked out a way to update their flip they would already be there. They have the best holder's period (the black tux 🔥)
@@caseywalker1714 I have 2 cards that are graded it doesn't mean there correct it just means somebody put there opinion of what they think the cards are . you don't get more money because your cards are a 9 or there a 10 or an 8.5 you know this correct as far as the card being graded? a card can be un graded and still can be a 9, 10 or an 8.5 that's how much more by condition? Did I say that anybody is a fan of Beckett for pricing or did Hite's say that? you've been collecting for 4 1/2 years I've been in and out mostly out since 1985 or so? when you want to get an idea of a price for a card example Cal Ripken 1984 you wouldn't look at Beckett you would look at Ebay because the prices change so often? if you wanted to look at Juan Soto 2019 example same thing you would go to Ebay and look there the prices change every so often? which holders do you think is the best for un graded cards 1 touches or screw downs for more expensive cards say a 1974 Schmidt 1972 Ryan 1974 Parker rookie those types of cards
Dollar tree has sports cards. That's where I get almost all of them at. But the packs come with 5 cards but there is a pack of baseball cards that has 20 cards and all kinds of sets and autos are in them. I have gotton james hardens auto from a pack for a dollar and it's worth a hundred dollars
But the Dollar Tree is one of the last places you'd want to go if you're seriously into cards. A hobby store has packs with better odds at hits, packs that haven't been searched, along with supplies to protect cards. I get that you're trying to help, but your advice is misleading. While your Dollar Tree James Harden pull is incredible, it is a once in a lifetime pull, I can bet you won't pull another card that valuable from the Dollar Tree.
I would NOT use top loaders they will damage your cards. The only things you should use are Card saver 1 by Cardboard gold. Watch my video on why top loaders are bad. Also ultra pro toploaders contain ACID!
