These are all the products I use. In my opinion, these will get the job done for any collector. It’s a pain to drop so much money on supplies, but you gotta protect your investments!
Amazing video! Thanks so much man for the detailed information about each kind of sleeve and protector. That's the way to keep our cards safe for ever!
So helpful thank you, was needing to know the different top loader pts for my cards besides the standard 3x4 that fits most standard pt cards but this came in so clutch!
Yeah that's annoying lol. But luckily, the cheapest and most reasonable priced top loaders I can find is at stores near me. On amazon, it's just insane.
I was recently getting into collecting football cards, and was a little lost with this stuff. Your video helped a lot, and saved me a lot of time, and money. Thanks for sharing this!
Nice video. I have a question for you. I just bought the same 130 point toploaders and thick card sleeves (ultra pro). and the sleeve is a little too wide to slide in the toploader. Now I can force it in but then the soft sleeve would put pressure on the corners. Alternative?
Do you find top loaders get super dusty? They have a static electricity that makes them a dust magnet. Even with team bags , it takes 10 seconds and their covered in dust
I am not a new guy to the sports card business I am actually a kid but don’t underestimate my cards/collection but I still learned a bit cause I wanted to learn about the MAGS cause I pulled a Jason Dominguez bowman card and I was worried about the space but thank you 🙏
If you have them I one touch and put a bag around it would you need silica packs? Top loader also if you put a bag around it wouldn't mold be a issue at some point
What do you recommend for 64mmX90mm and 65mmX90mm for double sleeving and placing into a magnetic hard case? It seems that a 65mmX90.40 or a 65.25 X 90.25 pocket for certain brand cases are the dimensions to go with a hard case...
Using a binder, which I still have, in the 90's was no problem because the Ultra Pro pages were nice and sturdy. Nowadays the sleeves and pages are flimsy as hell. The price of the cards have skyrocketed and the damn protection for the cards have plummeted....tragedy....smh
Does anybody know if the plastic sheets are any good? I got one of those card collecting folders but Idk if it makes bending more likely when turning the pages or pulling a single card out of the sleeve. Would you guys recommend a folder or keeping them with the top-loaders in a box?
What would retail boxes and products go in? For example, panini prizm and rookies and superstars. Thanks for your insight and recommendations on this topic. As a kid returning to football cards, it's tough to get supplies so I want to know which supplies are essential since I prolly wont be opening any hobby boxes anytime soon LOL.
Great Video. What do you put your protected cards in? I am purchasing an item called Ultimate Guard Arkive box premium materials , have you heard of anyone using this for sports cards?
i got a one touch for my booklet too but there seems so be a little space so it can wiggle side to side. I noticed your goff booklet has some space too, do you put a sleeve in the one touch or do anything to prevent it from sliding? Thanks in advance
Thanks for all the helpful info. Are you ever afraid of too much protection? Penny sleeve into a top loader followed by a team bag to seal it? I was just curious because it seems safe, but I'm afraid it may build condensation without any airflow to the card. I have my cards protected like this now should it be a problem?
Hey packman . I hope everything is good . Could you possibly make a video on brands and which ones are best / safest for our cards ? I found 1000 toploaders and 1000 penny sleeves for 75.00 PRO SAFE is the brand. would these be ok to buy or would they scratch my cards or be less protective ?
Are there any penny sleeves that fit into magnetic one touches? Just worried the card will get damaged slightly moving inside.. I found ultra pro pro-fit sleeves but they say they aren’t recommended for sharp corner sports cards but they do fit in the one touch.
So for instance I pulled an optic Justin Herbert rated rookie if I wanted to put it in a mag touch would there be a sleeve that would fit perfect in a mag safe? Or do you not worry about a sleeve in a mag safe
Super helpful video! Quick question, I have toploaders myself and I've noticed that they have a slight bend/ warp to them. Do you know if this affects the card in any way? Also, how do you store your double sleeved cards? Do you put them in a card box? Thanks!
@@PackmanCards Thanks for the reply! For "double sleeving" I mean I just put the card in a standard ultra pro sleeve, and then into the thicker Toploader.
I started trying to do research on penny sleeves, top loaders and brands n deals n just got fried...so now I'm watching RU-vid...maybe I'm a visual learner😂
Nice video! I’ve actually been looking for a card storage box, kind of like a wallet, that holds a stack of cards in one big pocket preferably with a sleeve at the front/cover to customize it a little. You seem like you know your cards, so do you know of something like I described?
I’m quite new to collecting and i got a ruby red wave zion from a prizm break and they put it in a one touch, not sure if they put penny sleeves on top to protect the surface but if they didn’t could the card be damaged?
do i sleeve every card of only good ones. what do i do with the less valued ones if i want to keep them all incase it some how goes up in value? do i just box them without a sleeve
You said you put the sleeve over the card in the magnetic holders. Why not in the sleeve? Someone told me to try the kmc perfect fit sleeves and then go into the mags. What do u think?
So I’m going to put mine in mags I have a nassir little /10 auto from contenders is that 35 or 55? And the same for a 2012 panini prizm Kendall Marshall auto
For my Jersey cards I used 130 pt top loaders but I used scotch tape on the top instead of the blue tape. I've been hearing this could damage the card. Should I leave them alone or take them out and put them in new top loaders with the blue tape?
If I have a 16pt card Topps Now Card that I want to put into a magnetic holder should I put it in a top loader first and then in the mag case? The Mag cases seem very thick...
What up man. Love the vid. I know this is old and may be crazy... but why lay the sleeve on top of the card in the mag? Why not just just put it in a sleeve then put it in the mag? Is that wrong? Very curious! Thanks again, love your videos!
@@PackmanCards thank you so much! And will it damage base cards if I just put them in a zip ploc and lie them flat on a table. I have so many base and I don’t know what to do with them
@@PackmanCards thanks for the tip been collecting for years and had a kyler crown die cut auto I was worried about moving around this locked it in place in the one touch amazed I never thought to do that🤣
Thanks for the awesome response. If the team bag prevents it from falling out, what does the blue tape do? I’m super OCD about my cards. So I’ll prolly do both
If I were going to put 50 regular baseball cards in mags, but wanted to sleeve them (like you did on at least one, Aaron Judge), should I get the 55 pt or the 35pt? I notice you mention the sleeve with the judge card and it’s in 55pt, will that not fit in 35pt. Is it even advisable to sleeve cards in mags? Does that not ruin the integrity of the card since the mag has a designated spot for the card. Thanks so much. Fantastic video
