This absolutely true land issue in is something else i just escaped one serious problem only to find out that there was oder names attached to the paper at the land office so it was family owned property long story short i didn’t give a dime thank God a very good advice once again Rush you are amazing

Hello Akosua, I cannot recommend anybody. I bought a few properties from Redrow Estate but they are sold out in this area. The main road land belongs to individuals for the most part. Estates usually go for bigger portions of land to divide them and sell it.

I need your advice on this .. I wanted to buy a plot of land from one estate company and they said I have to make full payment before i will be allocated a plot I then asked them what if the place I will be allocated to, I don't like it? They said they will change it. I then said since the land is there why can't you show me that this is your plot, now go and make payment. They said I have to make full payment first before their surveyor will come and allocate me a plot.

I’ll advice you not to make payments until you see the land with documents and be sure it’s secured and even that , start a project and wait a little before you complete full payment 👍

Are there any opportunities for freehold acquisition for a foreigner? The 50 year lease terms have dampened my enthusiasm. It's all well and good to talk about renewal terms but how many of those agreements have ever actually come to term and been litigated? I don't want a headache when I'm 80 or to pass a headache to my kids

You just have to know the right people and your lease will be more than 50 years . Renewing is never a problem. As a matter of fact people never renew it here. The cost is minimal.

You mentioned that you should ask a lawyer to draft a contract so you can touch the land. Can you confirm who are the parties to the contract ? Is this just the buyer and seller?
