HOW TO: put contacts in and out with long nails | Optometrist Explains 

I know you wrote this over a year ago, but I came up with a plane for this same thing and maybe thisll help. I like to do my own sets of press ons. and I also like to wear colored contacts. And I also get really sad having to clip and remove and ruin my pretty nails that I made. Then I thought, stop super gluing them and use the strips. For a single day. This has helped with changing up y look daily versus weekly. I get up and put my contact in, theenn put my nails on (for the day..) then before my night shower/bed I remove the nails first, and then my contacts. (an added bonus if you do your own nails, now you can make elaborate sets that you don't have to throw away. just clean and reuse. and you can have new nails each day!)

Depends on where the scratch is, if it’s on the cornea it also depends on how deep the cut is. Most cuts are self resolving in a matter of a few days but more serious ones can do more damage
