i struggled with using contacts, i gave up trying to use them because they took so long to insert, it was too frustrating, i really need these for cycling, so i tried again, failing miserably. i could never get them in, but after watching this video, your advice to pull the lid back FROM the eye lashes and lid edge was the key, that was my "ah ha!" moment, almost every tutorial says " close to the lid " , never mentioning the eyelashes. as soon as you mentioned the eyelashes blocking, it clicked, i took me no time , maybe 3 tries to get mine in using this method, it was SOOOOOOO much easier once i held the lashes at the lid edge, i'm so much more encouraged and confident i can use these when i need them now. THANK YOU! :)
thank you so much for this video!! I’m a new contact lens wearer and just had my appointment with my optometrist. she showed me method #2 and I was able to do it but have struggled to do it consistently-sometimes it takes me 1 min, other times 15 min. after trying your method #1 I think I’ve struck gold!! I was able to do it on the first try for both eyes and I’m so happy that I won’t have to struggle going forward! ☺️
I am new to contact lenses too and this video was very helpful. I am primarily right handed but also a bit ambidextrous so when I do my left eye I use my left hand as I find that most comfortable. I’m still trying to master on how to get the lenses out as I tend to tear up a bit 😢. Thank you for your informative demonstration.
I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH I was struggling and I was crying bc I couldn’t get them out this is my first time taking out contacts you guys are the only ones that actually helped me TYSM❤❤
Fantastically made video! This helped so much, since my optometrist didn’t explain much and just sat there for 30 minutes watching me fail. This video thoroughly explained how to insert contact lenses in great quality and description, so thank you so, so, so much!
Just got a sample from the optometrist and took them out and the third method worked the best. So glad you mentioned all the extra methods! I put them in at the optometrist's office and it was a struggle. I think from your description that one of them may have been in backwards because it was exactly as you said about the vision being a little better but not perfect. I'll see if it's better tomorrow. Thank you for this great video!
This makes me feel MUCH BETTER! Everyone talks like there is only "one way" to do it. I personally cannot center my lenses on my eye, so I have to put it on the side or lower white part of my eye. Thank you for reminding us that there are more than one way(s)!!!
This video was seriously so helpful! There were mistakes that I was making that I didn't realize I was making and they addressed them which helped me fix the mistakes. This was the most helpful video from all the vids I watched about putting in contacts. Thank you!
This video was a lifesaver for me! 🙌 I can totally relate to the struggle of getting minimal guidance from the optometrist. It's frustrating, right? 😅 Your tutorial was a breath of fresh air, and I finally feel confident with contact lens insertion. Big thanks for breaking it down so clearly! 👏 Looking forward to more eye-care tips from you! 🌈💖
Hi! It's been 3-4 days I have started wearing contact lenses. The thing is after inserting the lens when I blink, it feels like my eyelash is stuck in my eye.....and I also have to move my eyeballs to the corner in order to see things clearly. But this doesn't happen when I wear glasses.
For some of us it doesnt work like that. First of all, if I am trying to put in PRESCRIPTION contacts, its because I CANT SEE UP CLOSE WITHOUT GLASSES! You cant put a contact in your eye while wearing glasses now can you??" Therefore, its common sense that I'm not going to be able to see where the contact is going in at or if I even have my eye open enough! Every one of these type of videos are put on by someone who DOES NOT have problems seeing closeup!
I was on the verge of giving up trying to insert my contact lenses for the first time, but following your third method I pretty much got them in on the first attempt. I am soooo pleased!. My optician wasn't the most patient when they showed me how to insert and remove them and I did get nervous, so thank you! 🥰... I have to say it's not as clear as wearing glasses, but will that improve as my eyes get used to them? I have dailies as I only plan to wear them when I need to be glasses-free (and I do like my glasses), about once or twice a week. Will this be often enough for my eyes to adapt to wearing them?... Thank you again!
Hello!! I've just got mine yesterday and i am terrified of putting them on , but can u tell me How to did you get over the fear of something touching your eye? It has always been something scary to me ):
@@Unknown-jf5sk I can't say I'm fully over the fear of putting them, but I do find removing them harder. Yesterday I managed to put them both in less than an hour 😆
If vision is a bit blurrier in contact lenses it can be due to a few different reasons. The most common ones being dry eyes or uncorrected astigmatism. You can use lubricating eye drops to help dry eyes and if the blurring vision is still bothering you you can ask your optometrist if they can help make your vision better. Good luck!
I have no idea how you guys do that. I've tried like a hundred times and still can't do that. My eyes just don't open that wide and even if I manage to put on the lens it's wavy so I have to take it out. 😢
I feel a sort of irrational terror and a weird feeling in my eye when it is held open and my finger is approaching. Because of this, I fail to keep it open. I really want contact lenses but its proving to be quite difficult. (I have had 3 hours with an optician so far, got them in and out just a single time. 😢)
Great video. Had my first experience trying to put contacts in I manganged to get the right 1 in but the left I couldn't but in saying that I wouldn't say having a very pushy and unpatient staff member pushing you out the door to feel comfortable putting them in help much. Oh and left me with a blood shot eye. 😢
This is an excellent tutorial. I was having trouble getting my lenses in after my first fitting, but this seems to have given me the tips i needed to start getting them in quickly
omg omg omg omg I AM WEARING LENSES....finally. I struggled to wear lenses for so long- i keep blinking every time and it's a reflex action I can't control. The tip about looking at the mirror from the side was the most helpful for me. THANK YOU SO MUCH TOT
Inserting hard lenses is pretty much the same as the soft ones. Just make sure you put the lens in the centre of the eye. Removing is different. Will put it on our list of videos to film!
OMG! Ive been trying to put my contacts for 30 mins and i almost lost hope but thanks to your video! It only took me seconds to put my contacts! Hahaha thanks a lot
There is no "easily" lol. Just wasted an hour and a half of my life to walk out of the bathroom with glasses on and eyes looking like i drug sandpaper across them. They will likely find themselves in the garbage, maybe theyll actually stick to the sides of the can since they wont my eye.
This helped me quite a lot, when I was putting my lenses in previous I was pressing them onto my eye and wondering why they were folding back...watching this and just placing them close and letting them suction on was what helped me!
very very useful, i am yet to try it but before hand my issues was keeping the eye open so now i have figured out how to keep it open, hopefully it works!!
Ah, I was not expecting to hear Australian accents when I clicked on this. I am new to contacts, it takes me about fifteen minutes to put them in but I do enjoy wearing them. Thanks so much for explaining things. Hello from Perth!
This is one of the best videos I've watched. Thank you. My optometrist was useless, kept telling me to look straight ahead and he offered no useful tips or options to assist me as a first-time wearer of contact lenses. I have an appointment tomorrow for a second attempt at putting my contact lenses in. Thank you for this video!
Thank you so much for this informative video quite thorough, simple and easy to follow! I was in the clinic for almost an hour just to try for the 1st time to put on contacts and prior to that they let me watch a video of a certain brand also in youtube. The video is not as thorough as this and not as detailed. It didn’t help me at all. I kid you not, took me an hour to practice I was so frustrated thinking it wont work as I struggle to practice put it on. In desperate attempt to have other technique, I stumbled on this demo. Oh wow what can I say, I tried it and was more succesful and reduced the time I spent putting it on. I’m glad you adressed and included lefties too. That was thoughtful. Thank you both did a great job and you have been very helpful. No crazy adlibs just pure wonderful and substantial content . Salute! You gained a new subscriber here.
This video is a total game-changer! 🌟 Thank you for breaking down contact lens insertion into three different methods. The clarity and detail from an optometrist's perspective make it so much easier to follow. 🤓👁 Your tutorial is my go-to guide now! Keep the awesome content coming! 🎥💙
I like these tutorials, but I have not found one to help with my eye type. I have deep set, narrow eyes thanks to my neanderthal browline. I tried each of the methods shown, and just can't get the boogers past my eye lids. Any tutorials for deep set eyes?
I have narrow eyes too. My eyelashes just won't let me through and it's really difficult to put contact lenses. When i wear them I look up. as much as I can. It works though it's still difficult. But it works!
