I'm a 60 yr old women and I've always wanted my own chainsaw. This is the brand I bought. I watched this video to make sure I was putting the chain on correctly. He made it so easy! Love this video. Love this saw. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going out to find neighbors that need something cut down because I've run out of things in my own yard to cut lol

Chain saw was stored in shed for a year. In a moment of motivation, I decided to put it back together. Oil drained and all parts covered with goo were degreased to a slow death. Really enjoyed cleaning it back to showroom condition. Always let out a few GDS with chain saw on blade misadventures. Video said it can be done; and it did. No swearing. Got it functioning again and enjoyed a quiet victory. Helps to have a clearly stated plan for success. Thanks! Where was RU-vid 25 years ago? 🙂

one of the best how-to videos I have seen in a long time. Super clear and short! only 4 minutes, and it was very well-explained. THANKS!! Some videos are 20 minutes long. By the way, this is my 3rd chainsaw, and by far the best buy of the 3. One electric was a piece of junk, one gas that the chain kept coming off, and it was HARD to get back on. This Worx has amazing power for an electric. And it was not expensive at all. Super easy. If you're a lumberjack, you need more, but if you are a homeowner, it's perfect.

Thank you for this video! I have a WORX WG304.1 with 18” chain/bar. Seasoned chainsaw users would know this kind of thing. Us newer users need a little instruction that the manufacturer failed to include in the user’s manual. The critics of this video are most likely chronic complainers and fault-finders. Your video does a terrific job of explaining how to fix this problem.

I beg everyone always be careful with your chainsaw. Don't ever press down too hard, let the saw do the work. Don't ever put your head over the blade and press down, keep your head away from the blade, always keep your head off to the side, don't look directly over the top of the chainsaw while pressing down, it could pop straight up, instead keep your head a little off the center, if that blade pops up while cutting, it can get you in the head. I've known someone this happened to. Let the saw do the work. If it ain't cutting smoothly there's a reason. Research Research Research. Wear safety goggles or glasses. Rubber safety goggles cost very little. Thank you.

With electric chainsaws should you be able to turn the chain by hand. It just seems too loose if I don't tighten it down. But then I can't rotate the chain by hand to sharpen. Wasn't sure if electric chainsaws were this type of tightener need to be tight so that the sprocket can turn it.

When stored, will the chain and bar oiler drip onto the floor? Must you drain the Bar & Chain oil when stored? I have a new New Worx Electric Chainsaw still in the box for the last couple years, I haven't had a reason to use it yet. Thanks for your review.
@akbaxb165

I put the oil just before using the chainsaw, and I check the oil level often and add more oil as I go along. I drain the oil and then thoroughly clean it before putting it away for the season.

After playing around with it, turns out the orange plastic shroud over the tensioner is interfering with the blade and preventing it from sliding forward. I Dremel'd off some plastic from the shroud and now it works fine. Seems like a design flaw. I guess they didn't take into account chain stretch over time.
