How to re-rope a Flagpole 

Where does one rent such flagpole shoes?

This looks suicidal. Why not just tie new rope to the old rope with electrical tape and just pull it through. it would be a lot safer than this way.

I just cut old rope, attach new rope and pull it through .. no need to climb anything
