you are amazing smart man.3 years I look all video about torque wrench I never get it to understand it until now .what you just did absolutely excellent knowledgeable man. I'm proud of you man..wow you make me understand so easy very very easy after I watch your video.thanks man.long live for you.
I bought this wrench a while back and didn’t know how to use it. Didn’t know there is a tutorial video for this... so I found out that your video is the most easiest and simplest one of all to understand!!!! Now I can use that wrench and follow the spec! Thank you so much for sharing...
Just bought my first Torque Wrench and, when I opened it, I had no idea of how to set it. There were no instructions. Your video saved the day (and the embarrassment of asking.)Thank you!
For someone who never used the tool, you showed me how to read; and you did a good job. Now I think I understand the lines and how to read this thing...most people on youtube did not take time to actually teach and explain how to read...thumbs ☝
Very good explanation of how the ft pound indicators relate to the numbers on handle. Thanks for the guidance After use I understand you should return the wrench to it's lowest measurement to keep it from prematurely becoming uncalibrated.
Just WOW!! truly what this man explained in a thorough & detailed demo. Is just amazing! You sir provided a very pure graphics on those Ft-lbs numerical, very well done job in getting to the point of HOW-TO read & use torque wrench, thank you for the effort .
Good video, just that lug nuts should be tightened by proceeding to the next one directly OPPOSITE the one just tightened. This results in more balanced tightening compared to moving to the left or right from the nut just tightened, as shown in the video.
This is no broken English. There are reasons behind why I spoke the way I did in this video. Broken English is subjective, so I guess you could call it that too.
It is not always a clockwise turn to tighten lug nuts. Some cars, like older Chrysler products, used reverse threads for the lug nuts of the wheels on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Good video the mistake is when he make when he tightened the nuts.when you tighten one nut second you must tighten opposite from the first nut also need the least two steps to tighten the nuts if you said 80 ft lb first must be tighten at 40 ft lb and second one at 80 ft lb the end you go all around all nuts to be checked if all is in 80 ft lb this is the professional mechanic job.
Just put 5mm spacers on the rear of my cobra for clearance away from the irs bolts. Used this video to torque my lug nuts back down. Was second guessing myself on where the 100ft lbs setting was. Doesn't seem like it takes much torque to tighten them.
Good simple instructional video, but shouldn't he have tightened the lug nuts in a star-shaped, crossing pattern? (One lug nut, then the one across from it, then another lug nut, and the one across from that one - instead of tightening them by going around in a circle? That's the way I was taught; or is it okay to skip the "star" pattern if you have only 4 lug nuts?)
cool video....the tire shop strip my bolt many time..and i have to change it out ..a pain ...by the way where is the tekton tool made in? i want to get one ....if it has good quality...
I bought mine at Amazon.com the reason I got this one is because it has up to 250 foot pound. If you don't need that much foot pound, then Harbor Freight has good quality torque wrench at a much lower price.
You need an extension, as your hands are hitting the fender. Also, you are NOT supposed to tighten lug nuts in a circular order, you are supposed to tighten a nut, and then the nut right across from it next, and so on.
I didn't put emphasis on extension and tightening sequence for lug nuts cause I was more focus on how to use a torque wrench. You're right extension would be useful.
