For all those wondering like me, there does not appear to be a way to (re)boot your phone from an unplanned recovery mode and a broken button if debug mode was not already enabled. When your device isn't detected it *could* be a USB or driver issue as the uploader has stated in a few replies here, but even on the actual ADB toolkit program, right at the top it says you need to be in debug mode. I'm not an expert, may well be wrong, but everything I've read says or suggests you need to already be in debug mode to access a phone in recovery mode. I'd imagine this is a security feature so you can't just access a device by forcing a recovery boot and bypassing everything but again, idk.
Please please reply asap!!!!! I had a doubt, when we are in recovery mode then after if device battery got dead after charging it on will it get back to normal mode? Or it will still stuck into recovery mode and there's only the option to manually choose power off option.
Hey there, unfortunately my phone restarted into the Recovery Mode and since the phone is locked, my PC is unable to detect my device. How do I get around this?
If my phone was booted into the recovery mode and I didnt get a change to set up the debugger feature on it and I have broken power buttons, is there any hope for my phone?
@@hagakenew8974 OMG I could litterally kiss you!! 🤩 I've just spent about 2 hours following the method on this video tearing my hair out as it wouldn't recognise my device (I tried from 3 different Windows devices with about 10 different USB cables) I finally came to the comments section and saw your comment, plugged a USB keyboard into my phone (via a USB A to USB C adapter) then used the up and down keys on the keyboard to select the reboot option and pressed enter and it rebooted! I was back in my phone in less than 2 minutes from reading your comment... so much easier this way and IT ACTUALLY WORKS! 🥳🎉
I can get ADB to access my pixel 4 when its turned on (listed when you use the adb devices command), but it no longer finds my device when its in recovery mode. How can i get it to find the device in recovery mode, not just when it's already on?
hi my phone keeps restarting then yesterday it crashed. and wants me to reboot it but my power button doesnt work. so i tried doing this and when i type "adb devices"' it says (db' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.) i tried another cables and i tested my other devices and still nothing. BTW my phone is samsung a51
hello! i did everything step by step but the adb doesn't show my device. it s on recovery mode and connected to the computer but its not listed. there is no other command or error shown. what do i do?

Hey, Um i tried everything but seems like i need to disable usb debugging on my phone to make this work and i don't know what to do next, what should i do?
usb debugging mode only affects the phone when it is booted into Android. so if you're already in recovery mode and are having issues, it has nothing to do with usb debugging mode. the more likely reason is something usb related. should be that you need to install the proper usb adb driver for your specific phone/oem. it could be that you need to use another usb cable, or another usb port on your computer (try them all). some times the only solution I have read from my readers is that they messed something up with their usb drivers and couldn't figure it out, so they had to use another computer entirely

you would want to do something like "apt-get install adb" or however you would like to install ADB on linux. and then you should be able to execute the adb reboot command just like I show in the video
i did this on my samsung galaxy tab 4 and the power button is gone and it was getting the volume and home pressed alot then made it go in recovery mode when its charged in plugged in so i went and typed adb devices in and it had no devices listed and i downloaded the drivers

Thanks for the video. I followed your instructions. I downloaded Tiny ADB and Fastboot using the link and set up a folder for them. Then I downloaded the Samsung driver and placed it in the folder too. Yet when I enter the command, ADB reboot, I get the following error: "error: no devices/emulators found". I double-checked the USB port with different devices and cables to verify its functionality. Do you have any suggestions as to what I need to do to reboot my phone out of the "Android Recovery" screen? The power button does not seem to work. The phone does start to reboot - Samsung screen - but then returns back to the Android Recovery screen. Thank you.
hey Patrick. After making sure your Samsung drivers are properly installed (install the Samsung Smart Switch program), try the command again. then I would literally go through all of the USB ports available on the PC (just because it works for one device, doesn't mean it's compatible with this setup). the same with the USB cable. be sure to check with another (sometimes an older/newer one than you have, i like anker cables), and that should be all you can do on your end this issue is almost always usb related. maybe uninstall/reinstall the usb driver (after installing samsung smart switch)
Also, when I downloaded the Samsung Smart Switch Mobile app, I received the message, @ "Program will be installed on your phone soon". Will the program be installed on the phone even though the Android Recovery screen is seen?
Hey i have got my honor 8 power key damaged isn't functional anymore and phone's dead i some how managed to get my phone into the fastboot mode but I don't know like what to do after getting into fast food mode can you help me out in this
Hi. My Samsung S10e has broken power button and stuck in recovery mode. I have done step by step what you did (installed ABD and fastboot, installed samsung USB drivers and installed Samsung Smart Switch) but still does not see device in commands prompt. When I type adb devices it prompts ''list of devices attached'' only, but no number like in your video. What could go wrong? Any ideas?
I would try another USB cable or another USB port. sometimes people need to try another computer because theirs doesn't support the correct USB version (usb 2 vs usb 3, etc) but most can fix it with using another port or cable
huh? USB Debugging Mode is an Android OS feature. If you're booted into Recovery Mode then the phone has no way of knowing if this feature is enabled or not
So I got my phone stuck into Recovery Mode saying that my Android is corrupted and my power button is broken :( Already did reboot by adb before but now it doesnt even connect via USB
@@Kinjal_Parmar dont know, I waited until the battery depleted and then recharged connected to my PC with adb on, the only way that worked was doing a factory reset unfortunately.
this normally means there's a conflict with something USB related. if you haven't installed the USB drivers from the phone/tablet's manufacturer, then that i where I would start. you could also try another USB port, another USB cable, or another computer altogether (to test if there's a conflict with the usb drivers you have installed)
@@ExplainingAndroid tried different cables and ports. it just doesnt detect my phone. i tried different samsung phone and it detected. but my phone doesnt.
@@djv2420 that's strange. I'm not sure what else I can recommend since both phones you've tried are from Samsung. usually a bad USB driver would affect all devices from that company
Forget that didnt work !but this will and nobpody says it!😂solution when button broke use usbc to usb adapter and a keyboard for enter button for button😮
somehow using OTG while on android recovery does not work on my phone. I tried 2 of my gaming key boards and a controller 😂 but sadly nothing happens. Not sure what went wrong.
