Awesome vid rado i think its great that J and brad are such talented mechanics willing to teach you everything u need to know when it comes to your bikes I love it man keep it up
man this Mechanic is a beast. can tell he's old school for sure he doesn't even use those tusk tool for anything. Man I'm impressed thanks for the video
i used external Rode shotgun (micro) but it might not be all the way in.. I noticed late.. so I am not really sure if it was built in camera mic or my external. I am using same STM lense as with t5i, it is sharper now and autofocus works much better too.
Great job Rado! The RMZ engine looks really good with low wear for 120+ hours.... That diesel engine oil you use seems to do a excellent job! regardless these guys did a great job on your motor! should pull very strong!!
Rado your very fortunate to have jay as a friend he is a legend....that motors value just went up about 2k because brad built it at jay clarks house.....brad was right at home doing this.....you can tell he knows a thing or two about a thing or two.....while us amateurs study manuals ...brad is who we one day aspire to be....
@@dirtniron thats awesome of you to say..looking forward to the 450 vids keep up the great work...i been watching since you first got the old warehouse...take care man
Currently stripping my 13 rmz450 down to send out to this guy. Saw him all over your page and had to give him a shout when she finally quit on me after 200 + hours of supermoto riding.
These time lapse vids are really awesome! So many ch can be learned in a short period of time! You dudes brighten my day every time I watch Dirt and Iron! Stay Moto Vated!!! Do y’all sell t shirts? lol! Thanks again!
Yes, and shout to Dirt Bike TV as well! I want to be you guys when I grow up! Though I’m 51 so I guess I’m already grown up, lol! I still want to be like you guys when I grow up though :)
Are there no torque specifications for most of these bolts? Awesome video. I've got an opportunity at a really cheap '07 RMZ450 with a seized motor. I've never rebuilt a 4 stroke, but I'm motivated to try.
Where is he based out of? I’m in Fresno and after seeing his work I would like to use his service. Someone who actually knows what he’s doing and seemingly cares about the build. Awesome
Awesome build! I have 2013 rmz 250 and I want to remove the judder spring from the stock clutch, but its not clear to me how should i do it. Should I remove the judder spring, judder spring washer and the smaller friction plate and add a normal friction plate?
I am currently doing this exact engine and kit. This video serves as a great reference. Would love to pick that guys brain building it. Clearly not his first rodeo. Hahahaha
well since so many people are asking about the cylinder hone we did the hone is called a Brush Hone It's perfect for deburring and deglazing engine cylinder walls its made just for Nikasil cylinders ....
Hey Brad quick question, whats your opinion on the idea thst this type of hone ruins the thin niksil coating? About to put my first top end on my 19 250 xc with 100 hours, cross hatching should be fine, would you recommend honing anyway to ensure proper ring seating?
@@davidjo997 ya if you have hone thats made for nikasil if not you can use green scotch bright pad and contact cleaner ..you want to get the carbon build up and deglazing the cylinder that will for sure help with new ring seating
How much would the labor on something like this cost? Parts estimate? Also, can you expect a power increase from the new piston (same compression? mass?)? Would this be a got time to do any polishing/head work?
I used stock compression piston, no porting or polishing, still it should run better than before, the engine was little tired, specially the clutch and I am also getting hotcams and full fmf system, I am expecting some power gains for sure
Chicken Mac i have a 2015 yz250f with 316hrs. I’ve only put one top end in and replaced all valves w/ adjustments. I ride and race enduro, still going strong
it was still in decent shape, it would run longer for sure. Clutch was in worst shape but the top and bottom could do more. But since I am doing this build on the channel, it was a good time to go thru everything
wish you could find a video that explains it all on how to do, hard to follow this one especially when trying to line bits up & were every thing goes in correctly
That is sick and wish raptor 250 if you guys can try work out on Yamaha raptor 250 that be awesome to see next time if someone asked you if can rebuild some of 2 wheelers/quad that be nice to help out to look after the engines
