Overnight soak with PB Blaster allowed me to remove 5 of the frozen turbine housing bolts. I snapped of the first one by not waiting for a soak and using the torch with PB, the overnight soak is important!
I am interested in buying either a complete cartridge or a rebuild kit from you. Is there anyway I can contact you. I couldn’t find a phone number on your website.
Hello! Nice video , you help me very much! I d like to ask you : The bare CHRA core of the GT3076 vs GT3071 are the same? I have a GT3076 with a damaged compressor wheel.. If i install a smaller GT3071 compressor wheel , will the GT3071 compressor aluminum housing fit the GT3076 CHRA?
@@JDSPerformance25 yes i know that the wheels are different , but if i remove the 3076 compressor wheel and i install a 3071 , i can use the 3071 housing! The question is , if the bare CHRA are the same..
@@JDSPerformance25 Yes, thats what I been told. But I thought that was only if the turbo did not have an internal one. It seems odd having two inline restrictors? It seems Garrett would just install the correct size from the beginning...?
Just bought a billet chra from you guys and was struggling like a MF to get the snap ring out of the housing adapter. Your little screw driver trick saved my life and it was out in like 30 seconds.
so what’s stopping me from putting the gt2560r compressor housing and wheel onto my gt2554r turbine side? i am getting a free 2560 snd it has a busted turbine. i have 3 t25’s and was searching to see if i can just do this or that^ to fix it. possible at all?
I broke a stud on my s15 turbo housing so had to take my manifold and turbo apart to put it on the drill press ive whacked the housing several times and soaked it in penetrating oil but that shit does not budge i really didn't think id have to heat it up so at this point im hoping i didn't fudge anything up
Kinda sounds like its touching something as it spins but it still spins pretty easily and freely but its got a slight grinding sound i guess ill find out if its fd up when I re install everything 😆
Sounds like you have one that got way too hot and pretty much welded itself together…I wouldn’t take the risk of running it…it could end up damaging your engine!!!
I didn't heat anything up yet i just whacked the housing with a hammer but ive had an exhaust leak on the elbow where my stud broke and a missing nut on my exhaust manifold maybe that heated it up to much?
