@@newb529 Easy. The title of the video is "how to recharge and rehydrate Boveda humidty packs", and the section on recharging the packs starts at the 7 minute mark. So 0 to 6:59 is the "too long" part.

Came across this video after a quick google search on how to rehydrate. Took me straight to the end and I didn’t even think of the second option. Just figured there’s be something better than submerging, which was what I was gonna do. Glad you showed a comparison of both. Thanks!

What i tell everyone about the lack of nose punch when opening a jar with bovedas in them. Terpenes are volatile. By making a stable rh environment, the gasses stop off gassing. So when you crack a jar there should be no smell. You want that oil & smell left in the flower & trichomes. Take out the boveda & throw it in a hot car one afternoon, the smell comes roaring back.

I'm in a black market state where I get fairly decent packaged fairly fresh weed. My 62% bovida pack turns back time and makes it fresher than when I bought it. Last year I was in The hospital for a few weeks and had a jar of weed at home with a bovida pack that wasalreadygetting old when I was admitted. When I got home, it was nice and squishy

After a few years with Boost I can say I'm pretty damn unsatisfied with them. I don't wanna say they're a rip off but I've never had issues with Bovida, they just work vs boost that feel like they do nothing. I've also noticed Boosts packaging starts to fray a little bit vs Bovidas that don't wear down in my experience

Would placing dried out Boveda packs in high humidity environment bring them back to life? I had 2 smaller ones in my humidor over the winter, and they were pretty stiff/rigid. Now that it's summer and humidity has risen in my humidor these 2 packs are back in their liquid/gelish state.

Thank you so much Troy for this video, as always super helpful and I will use these methods the next time! I wanted to ask you about the brilliant cut grinder and the mighty vaporizer, do you put completely flowers inside the grinder on the medium plate? Or do you pull off the flowers from the stems? I know this is a big ask but would you ever consider making a tutorial style video from step A to Z with the brilliant cut grinder and the mighty + ?

Oh shit I didn’t even know I could do this. I have A SHITLOAD of those in my homegrown jars and jars. And I LIVE at 62%. I have the bigguns but prefer to use a lot of the 1/8th size. I don’t know WTF people did before these things honestly. And their prices are going up so recharging them is awesome. The boost don’t seem to work on nearly as much herb. No way, the Boveda are THE terpene shield and are SO good for moistening overdry bud.
@honuman39
@honuman39 2 года назад
Before these I'd take pieces of paper towel and get them wet and put them in my containers. It worked but hard to monitor humidity levels. Sometimes it added too much moisture to the air and I'd need to let it dry or I'd forget to check the container for humidity levels and the weed dries out.

YESSS!!! I much prefer natural humidity. If I'm using boveda with my homegrown it means I dried too far
@kevinphillips1280
@kevinphillips1280 Год назад
The best way to rehydrate your boveda packs is to wet a clean rag or washcloth and ring out as much water as you can. Then just lay your packets on the washcloth and fold it over. Fully submerging them definitely overhydrates them quickly and then you have to wait several days/weeks for them to dry out to be useable, the 2 plastic container approach takes way too long (for me that usually takes about 3 weeks), The damp washcloth takes a couple of days at most and you're done.
@420vapezone
@420vapezone Год назад
Nice, I'll give that a try next time. I haven't had any issues with them being over-hydrated, but I only re-hydrate these things like once per year

@JimmyKay1976
@JimmyKay1976 6 месяцев назад
Best to use the method where you don't submerge them in water. I use a Mason jar and a solo cup. Fill the cup about half way with distilled water. Place the cup in the microwave for about a minute. Put the cup in the jar with the pack resting against the jar. Seal the jar. The condensation will recharge the pack faster, assuming its a 2-way pack. Leave it in a room that is 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Use a high quality kitchen scale (make sure it can be calibrated) to see if it matches the stated weight of the pack. When that happens, it's recharged. And you can test the pack with a calibrated hygrometer. Worked for me & several of my packs.
