worked great, for the rest of the day and the next morning. Got in after work and hot air coming out, coolant was completely gone, thinking I have pretty bad leak. but adding it was easy video was helpful, my car just sucks.
I tried you're method on my 2010 Hyundai Elantra. I charged to 40 psi, car on, ac on, compressor engaged. Used Redtek that comes with a gauge which is attached to a "T" from which two short tubes extend with one tube connecting to a can of refrigerant and the other to the Low pressure side connection. It took one 6 ounce can of the Redtek12a product ( purchased in Canada). The AC blows cold. Will it be blowing cold at the end of this Summer ( or this time tomorrow) remains to be observed and sweated-out- Thank you for making and sharing your video.
I have 2004 Hyundai Sonata, is there anything different I should know. This is by far the easiest how to video on recharging the AC, and that makes me suspicious. Lol. Making it look easy, giving me too much confidence.
Unfortunately, we do not have a 2004 model at the shop as of right now but it should be similar procedure. Once we get one we will make a video. Thank you for watching us and we hope that you find the channel interesting!
The instructions on the “AC Pro” brand can showed to shake the can upside down as you do in this video. But AC Pros video showed to shake the can while its upright. Which is the better method?
Like most things with cars, it doesn’t really matter too much. Don’t stress abt it, shaking it upside down will work just as well as shaking it right side up.
on my 2011 sonata, guy told me that the Schroder valve is stuck, can't find the book to find where it's located,or is there anything that can be done to unstick the valve. thanks for any feedback
Guys you are the best ;) . but the AC button is switch on when i start the engine on and when i press the button it is not switch off :( please help me
Please tell me,, if after the recharge is done, and you still end up with warm air,, could the compressor be to full--?? Will it hurt to over charge the unit,, and info will be great,, thanks,,
How do you know if the air conditioning system needs to be recharged? The car I have was given to my mom by my sister and I use it to drive to and from work. It is often 80+ degrees out as of late and the air conditioner does not blow ice cold air at all, it will, provided I put it on the recirculate setting, cool the air (after a little bit), but the air only gets cool, not ice cold at all. I think it would really struggle if in 100+ degree heat. Does this mean that the car's air conditioning needs to be recharged or is that kind of air normal for this car (I have read that some cars have lousy air conditioners)? Thanks
Kyle Blank hey kyle, yes it sounds like u need recharged..its fairly cheap n easy but if it blows a little cool then more than likely u need to go buy a can.
Dude, why are you not observing the high side pressure? C'mon, buy a set of gauges, or quit playing with AC. Ya didn't even change schraders or leak check.
Shona Magouyrk Most cars share a rubber belt that drives the alternator, engine coolant pump, power steering pump and the a.c. Compressor. If that belt is broken while the car is running it will overheat in a few minutes. You'll discover you're fighting with your steering wheel trying to turn corners and if your battery isn't in top notch condition (and your car isn't a deisel furled vehicle) the ignition will begin to fail and your engine loose power just before the electronics shut down completely. Your dashboard service warning lights should resemble a Christmas tree when this happens. I doubt your belt is broken or missing as you'd be far more concerned about your cars inability to operate for more than 10-15 minutes. Your compressor has a relay and another part that can easily fail. Relays are easy to fix. I hope that's the problem.
A.G. M. yeah..I'm sorry for late reply, but I believe we have something happening with the air compressor!! an expensive one, when we crank the car you can hear a clicking noise that sounds like a straw or card in a bicycle wheel, we hear that noise and it stops when we turn ac blower off. well whdn we turn the ac off. a local mechanic put a gauge on it and he told my daughter that the low port is bringing it in but high side isn't pumping..hmmm, Im not positive that I said that right, but I wondered if it isn't just clogged?, he told her it is an all day job that he would rather her buy an air compressor just to be safe because it would be a 400$ labor job regardless...smh so me being the diy type, I started researching Google and found out sometimes a heat box???, can be filled with debris...if u can help me with what little information I've said could u pleeze let me know..Thank you, and GOD BLESS YOU
