Just a tip for next time. Alternate ur shims so gap isnt all on one side. Coil can move to that side of gap and cause it not to be perfectly centered. Other than that good job bro
Another tip. Invest in some clamps from harbor freight. Get like 6/pk for 2 bucks. So for like 10 bucks u will have all u need for spider and surround. Clamping makes all the difference. Same with building a box. U wouldnt glue it without clamping. Keep up the good work bro. Love watching ur vids and watching u grow both in knowledge for audio and subscribers
hey Parker question where did you get the ring terminals to put on to the speaker leads coming off of a drop in recone I'm in the middle of rebuilding some and I'm looking for the ring terminals to put on their everything I find is either too small or too big and gaudy to fit that
Great job. I use plastic shims from paper binders. About 4 plastic shims. Just makes the process a lot easier. Is Fi Audio pricey to you? I was one your subscribers that recommended sundown. Excited to see what you think.

How did you determine how many pieces of paper for a spacer. I just bought some saa10s that are blown I'm rebuilding them trying to figure out the spacer.. Any help is greatly appreciated
SA-12 was my first sub, def worth it. Can take a lot of abuse. After this I got the Audiopipe BDC4-12, it looked great in your comparison with other subs in that range. Would like to see how you compare it to the BDC? BDC4 seems louder.
So if the spider is broken it will still have bass but rattle like a spray can? My sub was sounding good and moving well good bass but lots of noise it was being a little extra lol. And is it worth it to replace the stuff inside or just buy a new sub?
So I don't know if you seen my last comment on another video. I have a 12in txx blue eye candy. That the dust cover came off the coil due to a sealed box and low hz. Most ppl tell me to throw it out but it means a lot to me seeing it was my brother's that has past away. Do they make a re cone kit for this speaker. Don't have to be the blue aluminum style just want to hear the sub play again. I have two 15in. Txx red eye candy and a love the brand. Can you please help me out with my problem, thanks.
Hello, i got a EDGE Car Audio EDP122SPL-E6 12" Competition Car Sub, around the screw holes where the rubber surround is glued it seems there some leakage, what glue can i use to seal this up?

what adhesives do you recommend? you use the E6000 for all of it? and do the recone kits show whats the positive lead and whats the negative? i got one from CAB and they all look the same
I need a drop in recone kit and a basket for this sub. I received one yesterday from D4S damaged and there sending me another new one. I'm stuck with a new motor
both my zv6s took a shit at 4 ohms on a salt 8k with no clipping distortion and with voltage that didn’t don’t get any lower than 10.5 could have that cause them to blow ? The amp puts out 3k rms +at 4 ohm dissapointed asf might sell ‘‘em or get recones
it would be nice to know the best direction to face a sub and the port. It seems like there must be some science behind this, yet, we still to this day, see sub pointed in all different directions and ports in all different directions also. I attempted to point my sub up and it sounded like crap. My port points in the same direction as my sub though, so perhaps that was the reason, idk. Has anyone done any testing on this? Overall, in an open style SUV, which direction should your sub face and port? I believe the last thing I read, said, your sub should point towards the front of the car and most of what I've read, also say's that your port should be on the same side of the enclosure as your subwoofer. Thoughts? I, currently, have a Kicker Comp Q in a pre-fab Skar enclosure (I know - I know). I just ordered a Sundown Audio SA12 v2 and it will be here tomorrow. I've never owned a SA or even heard one in real life, so I'm excited. This was also my first time owning a Kicker and I'm not sure if it's the sub or the enclosure or both, but I'm just not overall pleased with it, so I'm curious to play around with my new sub, then have someone build me a custom enclosure for whichever sub sounds best.
@@ParkerTheBasshead that's what I've always said to lol my xfl 10 d22 out performed and out metered my sa v2 12 js and the sa 12 was in a bigger box then my xfl 10. Put in mind this was back in the day when I had it in a trunk of a Buick lol now I've ben ballin with my explorer 5.0 suv with 2 Americanbass tnt 15s the new ones on a synergy 2k and it's amazing. I got a dual ported carbon fiber box for my 2 15s but I've ben thinking on switching my tnts out and put me 2 xfl 15s In it or do 2 synergy 2ks on 2 hd 15s:) but it's all about money so I'll be lucky to get 2 xfls lol but good video bro like always and appreciate all the vids u put on here and commenting back.
@@ParkerTheBasshead I had sa12s and audioque sdc2.5 12s and sold the sa12s,they would get smelly faster and it seemed like the sensitivity was higher on the sa12s and that was after testing with a kicker zx1500.1 and a an vfl120.1 competition 2800 watt. Xfls are next on my list.
Great content,I have 12” W7 I want to repair bought it damaged it plays highs I’m gonna do a voice coil and spider in it the spider seems to be sold out the spider and cone are good to go but I have not seen anyone save em and use em the other thing is shimming the coil not sure on that ,any advice help parts info would be greatly appreciated.Happy New Year-my fellow bass heads .Maryland showing ❤
@@ParkerTheBasshead i will comment again in a few days when u get to really judge the SA. Ive heard evl can get louder while the SA overall sounds better.
I know that you probably have already figured it out, but this is to help others who were scrolling through because I was wondering the same thing. It is the medium viscosity E6000.
Need to bend the tinsel lead lugs upward a little bit, so there is a little more play in the wire, I dont think I would have cut the leads either.. u was a little sloppy on the glue around the basket, but now u know what u should do better next time.. decent video
Do note that recone kits are not cheap and most car subwoofer manufacturers don't offer factory recone kits and some car subwoofer manufacturers that offered factory recone kits have stopped making factory recone kits and have stopped offering factory recone kits factory recone kits could become extinct many years from now
