Bro how am I majoring for this in college and this man taught me in a day what I needed to learn while in class this took 4 weeks and were still not done with the basics....
I like your style ,the way you laugh before giving the light. Teaching is a craft. Something people want to see you again because you make them feel better. I guess you show another part of you soul as a comedian. That is awesome
Got tired of doing music for a second due to personal reasons. Learned a lot in my absence like the fact that I’d like to control my recording environment. All you’re videos that I’ve watched thus far have been on point thank you!!!
1st video i ever watched from this channel thought I'd come here and show my little brother the man that inspired me in getting pro tools and helped me through it 😂😂😂
Listen up all you Ditherers. This is important. If you are learning how to record WavyWayne is the place to go. I’ve been pouring over the internet for years and I can tell you from a point of wisdom that there are countless mixers, masterers and ditherers that have infinite knowledge of recording but there are very few teachers. Just because you know things doesn’t mean you have the ability to impeccably impart that knowledge to others. You have to be a teacher to do that. WavyWayne is that teacher. He just might be the top of the list of individuals who have the ability to give you his knowledge in a way that you can actually utilize it with minimum confusion. We all know that people are born with the ability to play a musical instrument. We all know that people are born with the ability to sing. In the same way teachers are born with this gift of teaching. WavyWayne has this gift outright. I’m not telling you to avoid other tutorials. I’m saying that if you want the best the internet has for free, awesome learning WavyWayne is the place to go. Don’t take this lightly and don’t hold the fact that he does rap almost exclusively against him. (Yea, Wavy. I can joke too) Copy and paste this so others will know. Thanks Wavy!
Just came back cuz I miss the intro😂.I watched it when I first recorded on protool 2years ago but now I am using it and it’s actually pretty simple😂.Now I am laughing together with you Wavy😂😂. (Thank you❤)
Lol. That’s cool. Lol I didn’t buy it yet.. I don’t know what to get. I’ve been using garage band for Iphone to record vocals and and create my beats mainly. I’ve tried studio one and FL studio too. I want to learn how to mix and master my beats and vocals. I’m going through your videos with a fine toothed comb now to figure out what to get... If you have a suggestion for me that would be great. Going back to watching now. ☺️
Never have I clicked on a tutorial vid and got laughed at right off the bat, let alone got my protools cherry popped all at once XD Grade A entertainment and information, Thank You for your vid ;D
I don't like figuratively being called an idiot, but I liked being treated like an idiot by receiving step-by-step instructions assuming I know nothing. I went through 4 RU-vid videos before I found this one. The others all skip some steps making me go, "how did you do that, that was my problem?". Wayne was so detailed I found out Pro Tools was assigning my track to input 3 when my microphone was in input 1. Wayne has a new subscriber.
I'm an old guy, used to use Pro Tools 25 years ago (just a little) and mow I have a 2i2 and FREE PT|First LoL, so I need help. The best part about your videos is I get to hang with a cool dude and I fit in because you don't see my gumpy, nerdy mug!! This is EXACTLY WHAT I NEED, your style of training is PERFECT for us ADHD kids. And I have subscribed. If you do a Patreon I will support you. Or any other support I can offer while you trrain me on this stuff, I really want to get back into recording! Thanks, Man!
I appreciate all your content man. I've been producing and engineering for 10 years, self taught, and your videos have been helping me fine tune my skills. Learning sh*t in protools I never even knew existed lol. I appreciate you giving back and sharing your knowledge man. One day I hope to do the same.
This man is the truth from beginning to end. I have learned more from this man in 2 weeks than I learned in 2 years by skippin' around internet city. I am now a fan and a client. Thanks, brotha' for reading my mind every step of the way. From the templates to the lessons - it's like I'm back in college in math lab when we had tutors personally help us with our homework. That's how I got them A's & B's. Truly. P.S. Love that intro - I laughed right with you because you were "strumming my pain with your fingers - singing my life with your song"...
The sad thing is that as a totally failed adult, with no life skills, no clarity, no support, no qualifications, no job, no friends, no car, no reasons to stay alive etc, I have decided at age 24, that I genuinely wish to somehow learn to produce my own music, independently, from the house, using nothing more than a basic college student laptop. All I've done so far is download protools free. Please help a lost soul and tell me how to seriously go from this to a
Wow! Thanks to you.. I was able to record my vocals and it actually sounds pretty decent lol! I had took a Protools class a few years ago and forgot everything I had learned. So thanks again!
You really had me feeling like shit in the beginning of the video lol. Then after I watched, I’m like.. “ I can’t be mad lol. He just taught me how to record on pro tools better than my school did. “ . Thanks for the help wavy. Gonna be watching more of your videos.
thank you wavy Wayne, you really help me get this session going. I'm so intimidated thinking its too hard. I focused, watched it all the way thru and worked the protools as I went and it wasn't as bad as I thought. thank you so much
Man I just want to say thanks. I'm a small town country boy, and while I'm fairly technology savvy, this stuff looked like Rocket science to me. You really made it way easier to understand. Thank you.
This is what any University-level education should be like. Get told what an idiot you are...then learn something useful. Straight-up appreciated this. Thanks man. Great video and well put together. Subbed
im switching from Logic to Pro Tools n listening to all the pro tools videos my heart can handle... n my man Wayne is laughing at me ..chill big dawg! xD
RU-vid monetization Pro Tools is geared more towards the analog side of things along with the recording features where FL is limited to the point that it doesn’t have clip gain automation.
Yoo no way my ni66a named the session My Cherry lmaooo, bro i love your videos,i have learned plenty from you and i still am. everytime i search for something specific, you pop up and i waste no time clicking on your video, because i know you can hook me up with what i need. also what sets you apart from other producers, aside from your skills,is your warm welcoming way of talking and being, all together. I love your happy perspective about things and it gives me more drive to dive deep into these things. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Wavy Wane. The info i now have from you is priceless.
I'm like has this man been watching my life? I just bought a Mac Pro, Avalon, Apollo X8, U87, and Protools 12 and after hooking everything up I went on youtube to figure out how to record in Pro Tools lmao, swear u was talking directly to me!
Bro plz upload videos on vocals production please how to get stereo how to wide our vocals how to deal with vocals.... #Onlyvocals #mixingvocals #secretofproducers #instrumentalmixwithvocals
As a producer I usually give around -6db of headroom as a premaster. Does this factor in possible headroom for vocals as well? And let's say if you have a mastered track and are recording vocals over it, how would you approach that? Thanks for everything, much appreciated.
PAN KAJ How to find Your Plugins in Protools 11 and up: Step #1 - Verify plugin software is correctly installed First, check whether the relevant plugin file/s are correctly installed on your computer. Go to: Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V10 Mac: Macintosh HD > Applications > Waves > Plug-Ins V10 The relevant plugin file will be named after the plugin, in this format: [PluginName].bundle. For example, the plugin file for Reel ADT will be named Reel ADT.bundle. If the plugins you are looking for are not there, install the plugins by following the instructions in this link. Step #2 - Rescan for Plugins If the relevant plugin files are in the above folders, perform a rescan: Windows: Quit Pro Tools. Press [Win key]+R, type %appdata% and hit Enter. In the Roaming folder that shows, go to Avid > Pro Tools. Locate the InstalledAAXPlugins file and drag it to your desktop Launch Pro Tools. If prompted to Locate the Waves plugins folder, direct to C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V10. Mac: Quit Pro Tools. In Finder, click on the Go menu, hold down the [Alt/Option] key and click on Library. Go to Preferences > Avid > Pro Tools. Locate the InstalledAAXPlugins file and drag it to your desktop. Launch Pro Tools, create a fresh session with a supported sample rate, add a track and see if the issue persists. If prompted to Locate the Waves plugins folder, direct to Macintosh HD > Applications > Waves > Plug-Ins V10. If everything then works properly, you can delete InstalledAAXPLugins from your desktop. Once the rescan is done, create a new project with a supported sample rate, add a track and load your Waves plugins. If everything then works properly, you can delete InstalledAAXPLugins from your desktop.
I love the funny intro that's how a presentation should be entertaining makes me laugh every time I watch it plus he gives a great presentation on how to use Pro Tools.
HELP. I need to know how to select a specific section to record. Like it stops recording at the specified end measure without having to manually stop it that way I’m not recording over the following part. Situation: missed a single note on guitar and need to go back and place it.
You need to punch in. The easiest way I can tell you to do this right now is just record the take again on a separate track and cut and paste the part you want to replace.
i waited 12 years to realize i have to do things my self , this is my first video turorial i hope 🤞 that i can send you one my songs within a couple of weeks from now
I allready know how to record but need to know some things cause i always worked in cubase, the settings are a bit different, i like the way you work brother!!! i did subscribed and liked youre video!!! :)
