I tried with the Bombay terra cotta color and it clogged. maybe the black is just naturally thinner. I read somewhere that if you experience clogging perhaps try the Ph Martin Hydrus inks instead.
If anyone sees this syringes with an actual needle on it are great for refilling because it can go to the bottom of the cartridge. I found anything that cant hit the bottom will often spill because air cant exit while the ink goes in.
I just got a brush pen, and OMG I looove it. It's awesome for lettering and for patterns. :) When I looked, mine is almost empty! AND I can't wait to go home because I have that bombay ink at home (I love PH Martin Bombay Inks for lettering. :) Thank you so much for this video... Seriously... I appreciate it.
@@creative.and.caffeinated it's all in the pigments, I ruined one of the very same pentel brushes on your video and some other water brushes using this ink, Teoh Yi Chie's channel goes really deep into this and he's pretty useful. It was very sad for me being an amateur and losing pen money on that thats why im commenting.
I don't recall advising people to "clean" their pen with alcohol. Agreed an ink syringe would have been cleaner/easier. Maybe my method wasn't the "best', but here I am in 2020 still using the same method to refill the same pen. So at least it isn't the worst! 💁♀️
