Is there a reason why you changed from laying the flooring after the kitchen is fitted to doing it before? I would be interested to know. ☺️

I can't speak for Ste but in my own kitchen I laid laminate flooring after the cabinets were installed and I really regret it. The main issue is when you have to take a washing machine in and out for maintenance and replacement (every 3 or 4 years as they don't last long these days). There's a lip of laminate I have to drag the front feet of the machine over. Also makes the washing machine near impossible to balance correctly. I'm probably shortening the life of the washing machines I have as the bearings wear out unevenly. Another disadvantage of laying the floor after the cabinets are installed is that you can't change the layout of the kitchen without ripping the floor up and laying a new floor.

That's a good video. Why don't you use individual tradesman, instead of a main contractor? A little extra work, but you'll save more.

amazing video! If you should replace the entrance door, move it forwards to the storm porch, and if you should replace the old dated aluminium garden facing sliding doors to modern ones, at which stage would you do it? This would involve removing old door frames and potentially some bricklayer work on the entrance door.

I guess because you don't know which kitchen you will do and also in the future if you want to change it you need to buy exactly the same size because tiles will be no on the stock is the shop

@@h3steven wow. speedy reply. For me mate, I’ve bought a house (to live) and need bits and bobs done and a bit of a newbie. Your videos’ appeal is that it’s not only for investors. I’m going to paint/change carpets/change kitchen and good to know which one is preferred first. thanks again mate. It’s genuinely very good stuff and they’re not too long to watch
