I wanted a career in music/entertainment. People n my hometown laughed at me constantly and made fun of my larger than life dreams. I always wanted an edgy look and to wear a certain style of clothing but in my hometown that would get you beaten up / robbed! So I made a drastic change and moved overseas and I haven’t stopped. I’ve lived in America, Canada, Asia and the UK. Who I have become I am so damn proud of and right now I’m in the middle of levelling up all over again. This video was so timely, thank you 🙏

I definitely had this mindset where it wasn’t that I didn’t know how to level up, how I wanted to dress, how to network,etc. It was not allowing myself to be my best because I haven’t done everything perfectly due to staying down for too long after a setback. It was worrying about what other people would think because I’ve been down so long, fear of embodying my best self being seen as fake. It doesn’t help that when I do make myself improvements, I’m usually met with resistance via things like snide comments. A lot of them have been comfortable with me as long as they feel above me in some way. Other people’s opinions, misperceptions, or their boxes for me have nothing to do with me.
I’ve been living in another country for the past 4 years and I have no regrets. I’m definitely not the person I was when I first got here, like I really don’t know that lady 😂 and I had to actively question myself about the things I have told myself over the years. Best thing I did for my personal growth

It can be lonely at times when old friendships have expired and new friends haven't materialized yet. But it's okay, it's part of the process.

And sometimes there is absolutely nothing wrong with the present version of yourself. And if you do find yourself wanting to reinvent make sure you doing it because you want to and not for somebody or because everybody else is doing it, If you like yourself as is then stay that way and be fabulous just the way you are💕
