Thanks for posting this. I was in a bind...my son broke the laces on his glove last night and was playing the next night. Fortunately, I had the lacing kit and your video instructions and laced his glove in time for his game. He was proud of his old man!
THANKS!!!! I was nervous about replacing the spiral on my vintage Rawlings fastback glove from the late 70's but having your video and taking a lot of pictures of the layout before I started made this a breeze. I'll probably rewatch your video in 40yrs when it wears out again, lol.
Oh my God!! Your video helped me tremendously. My husband's glove had brittle laces due to being so old. He came home with the kit and said, "Here is a project for you. I bet you it's like sewing. " Not quite. But thanks to your video series, It got all done and looks amazing!!
Wonderful job and very patient thorough instructions. When I saw the price tag to replace my Wilson A-2000 XLO at $300.00 I decided I must re-string it. (I paid 50-60 years ago which I thought was a lot at the time.
Thanks for this great how-to. My son’s glove broke Monday night, playoff game, and he has another tonight, Wednesday, so only choice was to attempt a repair. Thanks to your efforts, I was successful! Now hopefully onwards to victory!
Thank you for posting this! I thought I was gonna have to buy my daughter a new glove and she is in love with hers because it was gift. You saved soooo many tears. Awesomeness
Thank you so much for posting this. These directions were easy to follow and I was able to repair my son's broken glove for his playoffs which start tomorrow! Grace
You're a Godsend, thank you! My son is trying out for his school team today and his glove broke last night. Couldn't have fixed it without you! Thank you so much for your time and effort! Your camera shots, instructions and pace were perfect!
Thanks for the video. Just redid my son's Nokana and of course, had to do everything backwards due to his spiral. It didn't help that he pulled the broken lace out of the glove that showed the pattern between the index and middle fingers. Oh well, your video helped tremendously and saved me from many choice words being yelled out of frustration.
thank you so much man. I just fully relaced my glove watching only your videos. it would've taken me a whole lot longer without your videos. again thank you very much.
The thought of re lacing my sons glove was intimidating but after watching this I know I can do it. Thank you so much for this video. I especially like how you don't say too much, not a lot of don't do this and make sure you never do this, that's very distracting. You just mostly stick to the do's which gives the vid an easy to follow feel. Thanks again.
Thanks for this video! It was exactly what I needed to fix my glove. I've had it maybe 20 years, but it's the first time a lace broke. One of the kids on my sons tee ball team said I should get a new one. I said I bet I could fix it. And with your video, And Amazon :-), I was able to fix it! Better than a new one as its all broken in and it's mine! A great sense of accomplishment to fix it yourself.
Have had the same Easton competitor series glove since 2000...laces finally failed on me recently in adult softball. Decided to relace instead of replacing after seeing glove prices now.. it’s ready for another 20 years!! Thanks for the tutorials.
I watched this and the H Web replacement videos. Incredibly helpful. And it breathed new life into my favorite glove from the past 20+ years Thank you for doing these.
Michael Desormeaux Thanks, guys! I really need to get a better camera honestly. Believe it or not, every single video on here is done with an iPhone. ;)
Wow this was incredibly helpful, I'm 16, just relaced my dad's cooper diamond deluxe 650 which he's had for 20 years. The web was a little different then your tutorials but I managed. Thanks!
These videos have been extremely helpful through my baseball career! I have been able to repair and customize my gloves without spending a lot of money. Is there anyway you can make a video on how you condition your gloves, because they always look super new?
My name's Dave.First, this is a terrific video and I thank you for it. Secondly, if you haven't already done a video for this particular model, could you please do one of a web relace for a classic Wilson A2000 XL with the solid web? By the way, you say all of your videos are shot with a simple cellphone? Keep using that because yours look great and I love how I get to see it start to finish. My thanks again.
Thanks for this! Just relaced a glove for the first time for my daughter and your video was the core reason I was able to do it! Where do you get your needle from? That would have made my jod a little easier :) Thanks and Cheers!
Awesome videos bro. Can you make one of a basket web swap. I have a basket web and I want to convert it to a single post web. I would really appreciate it. There are a lot of holes to cover..lol...
I first came to this channel to try to fix what my bad golden did to my sons DP15 iweb. Thought I would have to travel an hour away and have some stranger do it . Found this channel and decided maybe I can do it myself I’m a man right ? Quick trip to dicks , some tan lace , those shitty stabbing Rawlings handle things and Bam!! Temp fix on the glove to keep the ball from flying through and continue breaking in the rest of the good leather on this Wilson glove. Year later , after his cheap Chinese Red Sox glove(not the DP15, actual cheap laminate glove) explodes on the mound after getting the ball back from the catcher , im back at dicks grabbing some middle of the mill Rawlings glove. My son has grown attached to his Red Sox glove so I decide once again hey I know a RU-vid channel that shows me how to relace gloves I’ll just make this new glove close to it . Grab some red lace and I’m ripping out all of the cheap llama skin laces of this glove knowing with these vids I can put it back to together 10 times better now using the u shaped Rawlings shiv lace puller. Glove restored, Red Sox powers returned to the too tall 8 year old . Now my confidence has grown out of control and I look at his DP15 that is still an inch half too big for him and too stiff for him to close reliably and decide to turn that temp fix , permanent. Contact him where I can get a web replacement , answers promptly , supplies come , Wilson restored, dad of the year finalist running again . Long story short , thank you sir a million more times
on the top of my glove it has a x pattern instead of a spiral. Which way should I start or does not really matter? Thank yo and keep up the great videos.
Hey so I have the same trapeze style web. I used hot water method to help break in my not and now the web looks terrible and loose. Can you show us how to relace the web
