How To (Relatively) Easily Share & Send Files To & Between Steam Deck & Windows PC / Laptop With KDE

You cannot simply cannot plug your Steam Deck into your Windows PC, Desktop or Laptop, to swap or transfer files, but with KDE Connect it's (almost) as easy!
Download the KDE Windows app from the above link and launch the app.
Switch to desktop mode on your Steam Deck, click the "Start" button in the bottom left, and then "Internet" and you should see the KDE option.
Pair your Steam Deck with your PC and you can start sharing and transferring files.
If KDE Connect has trouble seeing each device - if your Steam Deck or PC do not appear in the WIndow, make sure they're both on your wi-fi network, apply any updates to your Steam Deck, restart both devices, and disconnect / reconnect to the wi-fi on your Steam Deck. That should fix KDE Connect connection problems.

For some reason i cannot send things over from my Windows pc to Steam deck. From Steam Deck to Windows works perfectly fine, nothing wrong. But whenever i select a file i want to send over to my Steam deck, just nothing happens. No message, no notifcation, no error sound or something. I deleted and reinstalled the app twice. But that didn't do anything. I was wondering if you would know a solution, because i can't really find anything on the internet about this.

Seems to be a recent issue, I am also having this problem (having used FDE successfully before). A few on reddit note this issue, ping works but file transfer does not. Not sure fix at this time, but something updated and broke the function for some people.

Hey I know this is late, but I had the same issue just now, on your Windows PC, on the bottom right by your open apps, click on the KDE app there and send file, this is the only way it worked for me...
