To be fair you can karate chop a bug... SUPLEXING a bug. That's a different story.

Remember Tinkerbell, specifically the musical version? Or any Fey being from Oberon’s court? Iron hurts Fey (like the lantern Hook trapped Tink in), as well as poison (the poisoned cake). In Japanese, Dark is Evil type, and Fighting is Hero. The Fey regularly pause or stop both sides from fighting, and can even quell dragons.

You don't like dark? Release a bug army.

Fun fact: Poison is effective against fairy as a deliberate reference to Peter Pan. Tinker Bell almost dies because Captain Hook had poisoned medicine for Pan, and in order to make sure he doesn't drink it, Tink drinks it all instead, basically killing her. Considering how many things Peter Pan inspires in Japan, it's not surprising. Hell, both Berserk and Legend of Zelda made their heroes have fairy companions because of Pan.

You actually can karate chop a bug but then you'll have bug guts on your hand. That'll make certain people regurgitate. Also, the poison ghost logic would be true if Ghost types were immune to poison types.

fighting resists bug and vice versa because think about that one fly in your room when you try to kill it. like it’s not hurting you, but you aren’t hurting it either also if ur confused about dark being weak to stuff like fighting and not being weak to fire is because it’s more of an evil/cheating type than the actual absence of light.
