I love Lexus and I’m very loyal to them and it’s not just them doing it, Ford has done the same with forcing you to pay monthly for remote start and stuff, but man I think it’s ridiculous my moms old 2012 Chevy traverse had remote start they even came standard with it, General Motors has had it for a long time. I know it’s for money gains and stuff but I can’t see why they’d charge people for remote start that’s already equipped to the cars. And yeah I know it’s literally $16 bucks but it just doesn’t make sense to me
I love it, specially on those cold days it makes a huge difference. Also in the hot summer days, have the car cooled down before sitting down in the leather seats lol
My wife has a 16 nx 200t and it does not work I do not pay anything for my 18 F-150 and it works and even has an app my dad has a 15 F-150 and it works too no pay.
Beautiful car. I own a 2019 is 300 and just finding your channel. I'm about to run outside and try this🤣🤣. I'm older so I just drive it. It is fully loaded but I still don't know how to use most of the stuff in it. It's so funny because I just recently used my heated seats. Of course where I'm at it doesn't get extremely cold. My younger son has been driving it alot lately and he's changed a lot of the settings for me. I think his next car will be a Lexus sport. I'm going to have to show him your channel. I'm sure he would fix it up if he got one.
some time people start with a keys but i new they will start the car with start buttons so but this is the fastest way to start really good job see yea
I saw your title to this video awhile back and I put it in “Watch Later” folder and it sat there a long time. I finally saw the video yesterday and I just tried it on my Lexus and it worked 😂 I honestly don’t even know what half the stuff in the vehicle does. I was able to finally adjust the headlights on it too 😅 I don’t drive it that much anyway. I ran inside to grab the 🔑 fob of my other vehicle (Audi) and it didn’t work. It should have it too right? I don’t use this one much either but I’m gonna try and research a little bit and see if I find out how to remote start that one too. I wanna say thank you so much for that video of the Lexus. It’s funny cuz my fiancé asked me a long time ago if it had remote start (she was cold) and I said “I don’t think it does” 🤨 I sent her a video of me remote starting and I know she’s gonna be talking 💩 thanks again! Gave you a 👍🏾
@@JhonnyTube shoulda, woulda, coulda, but… So on the Audi it has the feature but u actually gotta have a thingy installed in the vehicle to use the RS key fob feature. My fiancé says she hates me btw 😂 for not knowing this years ago. Thanks again!
You can. I’ve helped some friends that don’t have the subscription and it works. This is the steps I take. 1. Unlock the car 2. Lock 3. Press the lock bottom 3 times slowly but not too slow, HOLD THE THIRD PRESS until the car turns on
Either I’m doing it wrong or just doesn’t work. I have isf300 tried it 3 times , 4 times nothing works. Maybe because I disabled enform app? Just have been trying to use remote.
Really liked your video, Sir. I have a question, I have a 2017 Lexus ES350 and your trick did not start it and I also have a 2020 Lexus GX460 and the tricked worked, but my problem is how do I get inside the car without stopping the engine. If I try to open the door the engine dies and if I try to unlock it with the remote the engine dies. Since you obviously know more that I about this, any suggestions?
There’s no way to prevent this from actually happening, at least I never found a way to. Yes, it’s annoying because you pretty much have to start the car twice but, it’s the way Lexus designed the safety for this feature.
YOU DO NOT NEED A SUBSCRIPTION. IF the remote start does not work follow this guide: 1.Get the lexus app on your phone 2. Register your VIN number 3. Start your car using the video above
Try this 1. Unlock the car, wait 2-3 seconds and lock it 2. Then press the lock button 3 times slowly but not too slowly, about 0.5 secs apart and HOLD on the 3rd press UNTIL it turns on.
I did, but I’ve heard of some people that didn’t. I also cancelled for a month to try and see if it worked and it did, but I loved the long distance remote start feature so that was the reason I got the subscription back on.
@@JhonnyTube It's pretty disappointing that 3G towers are shutting down in October 2022 and support for the enform app will be going away with it. Have you heard whether or not Lexus will have the ability to upgrade the network model in these cars? I just got a 17 IS300 f sport last week and it's a bummer that my use of the app will be cut so short.
I’m pretty sure they will have a software update for any models that currently have the enform app. Not 100% sure but it would make sense for them to do.
@@JhonnyTube from my understanding it's going to be a hardware limitation, 3G network adapters won't work on 4G networks. So unfortunately I don't see a software solution being a viable fix. It would need a new sim card or network adapter. Kind of unfortunate that a 2017 model year was built with this limitation in place.
@@sexytopramen honestly im prolly just gunna get a plug & play remote start, they are about $350 which is a little steep but worth it if you live in cold climates. Just turn on heat in the car the night before so when it turns on the heats going.
I mean it's kinda sad, such expensive car doesnt have park distance control as stock equipment... I mean even my old 2010 golf 6 got some in front and in the back lol
I believe the system is the same around all cars with the exception of maybe a few more speakers depending on bigger models. But there’s not like cheaper or more expensive Mark Levenson depending on the trim level.
It worked for me, but when I opened the door to get in it turned off, I tried it again, this time unlocking it with the key fob before getting in and when I opened the door it turned off again.
I will do that thank you. I deleted the app and downloaded again and now it stops me with an "error" when i try to make the payment. That app has so many bad reviews 🙄
Follow the steps slowly but not too slow. 1. Unlock car, wait about 2-3 secs 2. Lock car wait a sec 3. Press lock 3 times, about half a sec in between, hold the third press until lights start to flick
@@JhonnyTube i used the free trial and it was cool, but it’s kinda unfair to have to pay a subscription service to auto start my car. it’s a close to 50k dollar car- should be included
Might now work with that model year, this car was a 2017 and I’ve done it with a 2019 as well and it worked. But, Try this 1. Unlock the car, wait 2-3 seconds and lock it 2. Then press the lock button 3 times slowly but not too slowly, about 0.5 secs apart and HOLD on the 3rd press UNTIL it turns on.
@@JhonnyTube Thats 192 dollars a year. Just install your own remote start for 450 bucks and save yourself hundreds of dollars over the next 6 to 10 years.
seriously?? Well for starters the Q 60 is a coupe, Q50 is competing sedan, reliability on infiniti is not as great the G37 was probably the last decent thing, but maintenance can be annoying especially a water pump change on a Infiniti, If you get the 2.0 with infinity it's a Mercedes engine so pick your poison, for chrissake just get the Lexus and say good night,, Honestly the steering feel is more connected and direct in my 14 IS350! than it was in my 14 Q50...
Nice car, but please know you MUST have the subscription for that key remote start to work whether it's free or you pay for it....SUBSCRIPTION IS NEEDED!
Could be, because I had some good distance whenever I started it with the remote. I also had the app so whenever the car wasn’t even in sight I would turn it on with the app.
Oh sorry, well the controller works just fine. Just don’t try to start it as you’re already walking towards the car because it will turn back off as soon as you unlock it. It’s a safety feature, it’s really annoying to be honest lol
Try this 1. Unlock the car, wait 2-3 seconds and lock it 2. Then press the lock button 3 times slowly but not too slowly, about 0.5 secs apart and HOLD on the 3rd press UNTIL it turns on.
@@JhonnyTube I download the Lexus enform app and for subscriptions it's give two options for safety connect $8 and safety connect with destination assistance $16. None of those descriptions mentioned auto start. Do I have the right app?
@JhonnyTube hey, So I follow everything you did. It only turn on Once in the past. But now, no matter what I do. It won't remote start. Do you know if this is due to the discontinuation of 3G?
Unlock the car, wait about 2-3 secs. Then lock it. Wait about 2 seconds and do the lock bottom 3 times press them within 1.5 seconds apart and hold on the 3rd until car starts to flash lights.

I had a 2013 250 (2nd Gen) with the 2.5, honestly felt it too heavy for the engine. But the 2014 got the 3rd Gen interior and modern look, all depends on the reason you’re getting the car tbh. I loved my 2nd and 3rd Gen IS, had no issues with either.
So I was pleasantly surprised to know this actually worked for mine (2017 200t fsport) but as soon as I touch my handle to get in the car it shuts off. I also tried not touching the handle and hitting unlock to enter the car but that shuts it off too. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong here?
You’re not doing anything wrong, it’s a safety feature Lexus has. That’s why whenever I turn it on I make sure it’s not while I’m walking straight to the car because it’s just a waste, I always do it when I know the car will be on for a few minutes before I need to get in it.
@@JhonnyTube wait so you mean if i use the fob to turn it on and i leave it on for a few minutes as opposed to seconds, then when i go to get in the car it will not turn off?
Follow these steps. 1. Unlock the car. Wait 5 secs 2. Lock it. Wait 2-3 secs 3. Press the lock button 3 times repeatedly with a half a second gap between each press and HOLD the 3rd press until you see the lights start flashing.
I have the subscription $16, but I skipped one month after I found this out to try it without the subscription and it worked without it. Also, I’ve heard of others that say it works without it. I personally like the app because I don’t have to be in range of the car to turn it on.

He said in another comment that he would unlock it 1st then lock, then do the thing, i havent tried it yet but that might help. I think its a PITA too lol but he may be on to something there
