I removed the bumper and the proximity sensor plug but cannot figure out how to remove the connector to the acc sensor (safety sensor behind the badge). There is not room to have a look. Just how is the undone?
Figure it out. The nub needs to be pushed in. That will lever the catch off of the sensor. The problem is that there is no room for your thumb to do that. While trying to undo this, I suggest tying the bumper on with some string. The cable ended up taking the weight of the bumper a few times while I was trying to figure it out. The picture of the following helped: "ACC Radar Wiring 2Q0 VW Tiguan MK2 / Škoda Kodiaq / Audi Q2 since 2017" (though not the right part, it has a similar catch.)
Hi...the badge comes out with the grille...just remove the upper grile, just with care because the loom is short and you can damage the plug if you pull the grill hard. Note to you,if you remove and unplug the radar sensor is recomended to have a calibration after...lots of functions relly on him...like,adaptive cruise control, city braking/safety...so on Thx for watching sir.
@@howtowithjohn581 Is the radar sensor the same sensor as the park pilot and front assist sensor? Because I have the plug but no sensor (because the front of my car is wrecked) and i cann’t find anywhere what kind of sensor it is….
Yes sir...older version is on the cross memberand visible thru the lower grille and the new models is under the badge on the top grille...if the badge is smooth you have a radar...if is 3D is not there... thx for watching sir...
