How to remove a BF BA ford falcon headlight 

Very good.Even before I watched this,I thought there was very much to undo.

Thanks for the heads up. Started on right side replacement. Quickly realised yes 2 bolts are hidden and a pain in 2 arses to get to. Thinking it was a 1/2 hr job ..... until I started!

I got some head lights from the wreckers then found your channel and effort involved and took the headlights back to the wreckers 😂😂

I have to do both of mine. The box got delivered yesterday and I’m also going to do the external transmission cooler at the same time. The workshop manual also recommends de-energising the airbag system before working anywhere near the sensors behind the bumper.

I have a ba and also find the headlight setup a nightmare. Just to change a bulb on LHS got to remove the airbox, a job in itself. On LHS got to remove the battery and box to get at the bulbs.

Great video. My new lights just arrived, didn’t realise I had to drop the front bumper. FFS. There goes half a day.........

Do they mention any of this in the workshop manuals ? If not they should . Lucky for you tube . Imagine before you tube . Go to the pub and ask someone probably.

Great video guys. Have you got a video on adjusting the 2 knobs at the back of the headlights that adjust the headlight beam height and side width?

What a piss around. Got a BA xr6 turbo recently and came with aftermarket headlights I don't like. Not looking forward to doing all this just for a couple headlight. Cheers for the video though.

I pre bought a box of multiple clips before i removed the front [Dent removal ]. Worst part was the spiders and cobwebs. Complete front end off, [BF Fairlane ] dent repaired ,3 hrs.

God damn I bought 2 new headlights. I was gonna start getting into it but realised the mass amount of effort involved haha. Might just pay someone a carton of beer to do it for me haha

Many thanks. My H4 retaining ring and clip broke off as connector terminals were corroded together. Not looking forward to pulling the front off at my age. Can I borrow your nimble offsider LOL

Anyone know if you have to do all this to be able to get to the wires for the indicator? I’m struggling to find the wires for the indicator wondering if I’ll have to do all of this to get to the wire for anyone knows another spot I can find the wire

Typical bloody Ford !! You are so right - the designer should be gassed! You can't even buy replacement headlamp units in New Zealand. I had to take the old unit out, clean the rust from the reflector and repaint with chromium paint! Now the left side has gone the same way, with water entering the lamp unit. Why they don't use sealed beam units like everyone else is beyond comprehension!

What a stupid design! I wonder how much the dealer would be asking for this job? That's $450.79 sir, 79 cents for the light bulb. The rest is labour!

Bro!! That’s easy man seriously, trying dropping a ls in a Holden VQ even that’s easy, the hardest thing to do on a ford ba bf is diff bushes that’s it
