How to remove a clip without moving other videos in Shotcut 

thank you! i just switched to shotcut from openshot (due to openshot having numerous issues) and one thing i really liked was having that gap between clips to show where i was in terms of my edit you just saved me a big headache

it was the DELETE KEY! 😅all these years of using shotcut, moving a piece to a new track just to delete it without messing up the rest of my project 😭 thank you very much

Excellent video, but I got stucked editing my project, I have about 20 pictures in my timeline, I was adding fade in and out on every clip, then for some reason when I get to the last two clips the marker does not move to the right (it looks like that is the end of the video but it is not), I can not add the fade in and out to the last two clips and when I select them they don't show up on the player, I need to finish the two clips so then I can add music and finalize the project. Can anyone help. please?

Good morning from Italy, let me thank you very much for your wanderful interesting shotcut tutorials , i'm following you from long time ago... now i have a question request... i know you are so kind to help us... the matter is concerning color grading and color correction on shotcut... i tale my videos with a Nokon D750 with picture control preset in flat in full hd.... when i try to recover the true colors with shotcut the results are not satisfying me so much... everybody today is talking about log profile and color Look up tables , but i'm not sure to well understood what does these things work on Shotcut....

Hi, Tux! I've recently taught myself Shotcut and have learned a lot from your videos, so thank you! I do have a technical question for you-- I've created several videos using standard-def (720x480 .avi files) footage from my old miniDV tape-based camcorder, and while sometimes slow, Shotcut would always handle it. Unhappy with the quality, I recently upgraded to an HD camcorder, recording in full 1080p to SD card, but when I move my .mts (AVCHD) video files into Shotcut, they barely move. I have a dedicated "Shotcut Laptop" with nothing else running on it--- a Dell with an Intel Core i5 @ 2.67ghz and 4GB of RAM. Does Shotcut typically have trouble with 1080p resolution files? I'm only using short (15-20 second) clips to start with. First I thought maybe Shotcut couldn't handle .mts format, so I tried converting them to .mp4, but I had the same issue. Do I need a faster computer? Any suggestion as to how to speed this up would be appreciated! Thanks in advance...

Hello sir i have searched documentation, official tutorial everywhere but documentation or user guide is not ready yet and official shocut has 6 year okder videos and finally found your playlist. There are no any tutorial like yours, i have watched all the videos of shotcut but noticed that some of the tutorial is outdated or deprecated in latest version like blur effect which is now very easy and text html and other filter are deprecated which means these feture are going to be removed so please update your videos. Add some advanced level tutorial. Thank you.

Very helpful Video! My shotcut is pretty laggy since about 1-2 weeks, before it worked normally but now it got slow, laggy, video sometimes is only one frame and stuff. So i tried to uninstall it, the problem: there is no deinstall or cant even find it in Controll Panel. If i try to delete the Folder it wants Admin right , when i accept it says that it wants pc rights or something and the only buttons i can click are "try again" (nothing happens) or "cancel" Someone maybe having the same problem? :(
