Brilliant video mate I’m 90% of the way there now. those screws behind the exhaust are a pain.. could you cap the gas at the fitting going into the bottom of the gas heater underneath?? My gas pipes are hidden in the chassis and it’s the only appliance theres not an isolation valve for

Thanks, glad you found the video helpful, that I why I recorded it. From a safety point of view I capped mine outside, you sure there are no pipes underneath? mine had a T junction going to the water heater, so it was easy for me but a cap for the T junction.

This helped me a lot now i know not to remove it because it leaves a hole in the floor ill just put the oil radiator in front of it hoping the air intake will suck the warm air in and distribute it

Glad it helped, that’s what we did till I decided I wanted to camp more off grid in colder months

I removed it anyway the metal plate was al rusted but im gonna reuse it and i will fill the hole with isolation foam board cut it to size and then glue it in place then on the top i will place the metal cover back to keep that spot sturdy and then i will place the oil radiator in the cavity the oil heater is only 1200w compared to the 3500w gas heater but i will try to fit 2 of them in it for 2400w which should be good in combination with the air blowing system to get a nice warm caravan in the winter

5 mins is a tad bit optimistic, isn't it? And a CO warner installed might be a good idea, just incCase... if the new exhaust gets somewhat leaky ...seems you removed the old heater just in time- Jess will have less of an hangover-that was not from alcohol but CO ;-) Anyway, I know those "I'll just do it..." tasks you know beforehand will extend and ask for ever more stuff... btw. never try that on a Sunday when all the shops are closed (at least in Germany they are), yes you have time and peace to do it, but no, you are guaranteed to need a tiny item you can not get on that day... have you been sufficiently praised by Jess for it (Hint-hint)? Cheers, Michael

yep maybe took a bit longer than 5 min ;-) caping the gas pipe took a bit longer as its not 8MM but 1/4 should have guest with it being a old van. Diesel install is next video so Jess will never be cold again in Millie so happy Jess

@@DKGoesWild My great Book-raising and husbanding a wife-will contain the first three chapters-keep them warm, keep them fed, give them access to a bathroom. The rest is optional. Don't meet any of the three-you are in for trouble. I really need to write that book ;-) Any suggestions for additional chapters? When I was off to work in different locations, I always arranged to be gone one week before aunt Irma visited (I gathered that is a code for..some other periodic event). Cheers, Michael
