In this video I go over step by step how to remove an electric brake drum from your trailer axle. You may need to do this if your axle bearings are bad, or if your trailer brake shoes need replaced. Hope you get some value!
Torque sticks are good if you have a proper strength gun, with a proper supply of air. Akd you arent supposed to drop them or go backwards , I dont recommend them as a go to tool for a regular person. Good video!
Yes, it’s normal for the pads to barely be touching the drum and that’s the noise you hear. If you adjust the pads even looser when you apply the brakes they won’t make proper contact and braking power.
@outdooragent I'm not trying to be picky. You keep saying brake pads. In reality, they are brake shoes. Pad go on disc brakes. Just saying. 🙂 good video people can learn a lot.
Yeah but you still hear the grinding you never change the brake pads or the wheel bearings. That's the point on that I just changed my wheel bearings I stuck it back on and I hear the grinding still I believe it's the brake pads and I'm going to remove them. Same noise I hear in your video after you replace
It’s normal for the pads to barely be touching the drum , it should still be able to spin freely. This was a video about how to remove the the drum not adjust your drum brakes, sounds like your pads are too tight, there’s a star wheel behind the drum to adjust them.
Well this video was a waste of time.. yeah let's make a brake video and skip the most technical part of the job.. so glad I learned how to over tighten my lug nuts
The video was very helpful for several of us. The title clearly states what the video was about and he did an excellent job explaining and showing how.
